Two years ago, people rarely trashed another person. They would discuss why they thought the other persons ideas were off track. Today, the first thing people do is criticize the person. It's sickening.

Jim, do you think you could write a letter to President Bush and include all Freeper names. I mean real name and town if you wish. I give my permission for mine.
A letter of support from Freepers to make up for todays virtual march?

please use the original titles on your article posts. Do NOT edit the titles. Do NOT use "My Title" titles.I've heretofore presumed (and correct me if I'm wrong) that it is acceptable to do both/and. IOW, I will sometimes append additional material, in square brackets, after the complete and correct title. My thinking is that this can make relavant articles easier to locate in searches. For example I might post an article titled "Special Forces Deployed" as "Special Forces Deployed [Scud Hunt, Iraq]".

Recently I was going to post something, so in order to please the day posters, I bumped the previously posted post about 6 times, another poster helped with about 2 bumps and we couldn't even get near the top.
Oh dear. [scratches head]
One 'bump to the top' bumps it to the top. Copy/pasting an old post just to repost it does not make it more visible in the lastest posts than simply bumping the old thread does. It is not a cumulative process... When a lot of people are posting, it doesn't stay 'at the top' long.
Thanks, Hair, I'll use 'bumb to the top' from now on.

I sometimes do the same thing. It doesn't affect the FR search function a bit, so long as you keep the original title.

Way too many vanity threads lately. And way too much trash being posted. Please try to stay on topic (politics). Also, please do a search on a significant word from the title of your article before posting. This will reduce the number of duplicates. And, along these same lines, please use the original titles on your article posts. Do NOT edit the titles. Do NOT use "My Title" titles. This will also help to reduce the number of duplicates.
