Hi WR
In the last election I believed getting Bush in Office was the way to get the tyrant out of power
yet I never criticized anyone for voting for Buchanan or Harry Browne
or tried to pressure them to vote for Bush
I like free expression
I hope FR continues to be a place where all points of view are welcome
Love, Palo

Wouldn't you know my last post on this subject had to be number 666.Well, penultimate one, anyway. Thanks for fighting the
good fight. I have been posting links to this thread
on many different threads this morning. For some
strange reason, though, those threads keep disappearing...

I hope there is always room for posts about baseball
I love the way you write about baseball lol
The only way anyone will prevent me from writing or posting about baseball will be to make me a boat people. And even then....*grin*

It grieves me to hear Americans constantly speak of the treatment of the detainees., You are so right, in fact I saw a report today that said that the detainees are grouping together already and plotting terrorist attacks against those who are guarding them!
How quickly the liberals have forgotten what happened to us on Sept.11th. It is exactly this kind of PC thinking that made us sitting ducks to begin with.

Please try to stay on topic (politics)I guess I'm one of the sinners on this aspect, since I sometimes post on 'Culture' threads. My understanding is that it is OK to post on culture topics which refer to conservative, or traditional western cultural ideas, but to refrain from 'fannish' posts. To pick a topic which I gather you have not been fond of, I would take it that threads on LOTR which discuss its signifigance as a work of literature and film in which heroism and decency and a strong sense of justice are portrayed are OK, whereas threads about how neat the Burger King souveneir glasses are would be out? Or am I misreading you?

Been away for a bit Jim. Thanks for the thread. Hopefully, a little wood shed advise can go a long way.

For better or worse, hasn't the culture war become part of modern American politics?

Please call the RNC and have Racicot tell Bush to go before the cameras and state his case about the stimulus package.
