K-Mart gets what it deserves for being anti American, anti second amendment, and for pandering to illegal aliens.

I have nothing but contempt for that organization.

They boycotts of Kmart clearly had an impact on them, but how much is not known. What is known is that Kmart facilities were low rent, poorly maintained, and the shelving of items was regularly in disaray.

Their instore employees were rude, showed no interest in their job or helping the customer, and when asked questions never had an answer. Not to mention that they regularly only had 2 cash out lines open and 20 closed and those working the registers had were more interested in talking to the cashier next to them about the party last night, their new nails, their new dye job, or what they were gonna do tonight than they were in getting the customer rang up and out in a timely matter.

Their service level sucked and people voted with their wallets for Walmart and Target.

A better question - How come Walmart and Tyson Foods, both run by huge FOB's - managed to squeeze out or buy out their competition in the Clinton years? Alltel is another Arkansas FOB company doing the same thing. It just seems odd to me that these companies doing so well happen to be based in the backwater state of Arkansas, home of the DIxie mafia head and one of its favorite sons, Bubbillary Clinton.

Well that is interesting.

By comparison, you would think Bush would help to bloat K-Mart and make it "prosper", seeing as he is more corrupt than Clinton, knowing how Clinton used his power to bloat Enron

How about consistently dirty stores and crummy products for sale at crummy prices? How about stupid PC spokespeople like Robustly Abominable? How about surly employees who look at you like you are an alien from another planet when you ask for help?

That is why I shop at Wal-Mart before K-Mart, and why that great sucking sound you hear is the sound of K-mart going down the toilet. It's just a matter of time.

Actually, if I understand it, Tyson is owned by Muslims.

The general delight which greets this event, simply because Rosie O'Donnell is/was on the payroll, amazes me.

Finally, some voices of reason among all the Rosie/KMart bashing. Most people here don't seem to remember or care KMart fired Rosie. The fact that they hired her in the first place (big mistake) is all they need.

Tacky stores and not focusing on market niche helped bring about their demise.

Agreed. Why do their stores look so...old and worn? I thought KMart was trying to renovate them?

Fingerhut was "mail order for morons."

You can understand why it was such an odd mix with Macy*s, Bloomingdales, etc.

I wonder if anyone in the lamestream media will connect the dots on this. I know I quit shopping there when Rosie started showing her @ss. I know even more quit when kmart pulled ammo from their stores.

I'm sure they'll agree that conservative shopping habits had nothing to do with their demise. Just like the Disney boycotts have nothing to do with their declining fortunes.

Ok when will the intrepid leader of the Democrats Sen. Tom Daschle start the investigations?

How many little people investors have been hurt by K-Mart?

How come Tom Daschle didn't warn the American people of K-Mart tanking?

Where is Tom Daschle's concern and disappointment for the unfortunate K-Mart employees and their families?
