Some of the semi-rational protesters there were mad at the Patriot Act. I didn't support it either, but this group doesn't really care about that. They'd take our freedoms away in a minute.

Don't know why you called yourself an A-hole, but I realize a truthful answer would have required more of the attention-span-deprived pinhead's time than he would have been willing to give you. Good show, Dan!

It seems just a short time ago there was no such thing as a "conservative protestor" or a "republican protestor", or a "libertarian protestor" for that matter.
Nowadays they not only exist, they are as hardy as, if not hardier than the protestors from the Democratic National Committee(DNC).

There were about 40 or so America haters, communist, capitalist haters, and the like there. One of them was a real jagoff to say the least, and I thought was going to start a fight. Their chants were on the line of - "F the US" "FBI CIA KKK Same thing", "Fascist USA", etc. Where oh where is the draft when you need it? Special Yahoo Units will need to be set up for this gang. Picture the ending of the movie "Hair."

Rally protests bombing in Afghanistan The Associated Press 1/18/02 5:46 PM
EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- A small group protested the bombing in Afghanistan on Friday, rallying on the Michigan State University campus to call for a peaceful end to America's war on terrorism.
They met in the snow at the MSU student union and marched a short distance to call for eased treatments of immigrants, and an end to racial profiling and the "unjust detainment" of Arabs and Muslims.
The protest was organized by Direct Action, a local activist group.
"It is important now more than ever that people stand up against racist interrogations and in defense of civil liberties," said Heather Buckley, a member of the group in a prepared release.
Another group, supporting the bombing and the U.S. efforts to eradicate terrorism, also showed up, but the demonstrations remained peaceful.

That's it? WTF happened to equal time?

There were about 40 or so America haters, communist, capitalist haters, and the like there. I'm not surprised at the low turnout. I was at MSU back during the late 60's and I have little recollection of anti-war activity back then. Maybe a few liberal arts students and their professors who took over a building for a talk-in or something but they were a fringe bunch and everyone knew it. Heck, shoulder length hair on men drew derision and laughter up until about 68.
On the other hand, a good panty raid like the one at Brody back in '67 or a riot like after the NCAA finals a few years ago, and you have thousands of participants. MSU still is much more of a party school than a Berkeley/Columbia peacenik school.

That's it? WTF happened to equal time? That's only for socialists and others who hate everything about this country that makes it great. It doesn't apply to us.
Good Job!!!

Another group, supporting the bombing and the U.S. efforts to eradicate terrorism, also showed up, but the demonstrations remained peaceful. Welcome to the club. You support bombing and for some god knows what reason did not get violent. Typical liberal press coverage of our side at one of these events. Regardless, America knows the true bottom line and that you guys were out there doing the right thing.
