I'm not sure what laws are being touted here, but the federal anti-terrorism laws are specific and severe. This woman participated in placing bombs under police cars. She's convicted. She's going to spend a lot of time behind bars.

I do agree with you that she needs to be taken to task in Sacramento. I hope that happens.

As for her children, the point I attempted to make was that she didn't get to spend 25 more years enjoying the types of things that Sarah Jane did. If I didn't make that clear, I screwed up.

No, I think your comments were clear. I was just pointing out that she did live long enough to have children but I understood your point.

I just re-read the newspaper article and maybe I've come down too hard on Judge Fidler. He may have given her the stiffest sentence possible under the options available to him: two consecutive, not concurrent, 10-year terms. Maybe someone better versed in the applicable law can answer the question.
