Cemetery villagers suffering erotic nightmares

Chilean villagers claim they are having erotic nightmares because their homes are built on an old cemetery.

Residents of Lautaro are calling on exorcists to help them. They say demons possess them when they are asleep and cause them to have strange erotic dreams. They blame the phenomenon on the fact their district was built on the site of an old graveyard.

One woman, Olga Venegas, says she has been gripped by the nightmares for more than eight years. She told newspaper La Cuarta that if the exorcism didn't work she would consider moving house. Her husband says he is also desperate for a good night's sleep.

The residents recently held a day of prayer in the hope of persuading the demons to leave them alone. When this failed, they decided to call in the exorcists. Sufferers say the wild erotic dreams usually begin some time after midnight and often last all night.

A few people have suggested the dreams may not be caused by demons. One sceptic has called on his fellow residents to see a psychiatrist or a sex therapist.

In some places the RC churches have permitted a large degree of indigenous pagan religion to get into their rituals. I have to wonder about attempts to "persuade" demons to do anything, which sounds pagan (as though the demons are kinda bad and kinda good). One has to rebuke them in the name of Jesus Christ; persuasion has nothing to do with the matter.

I tried those patches years ago when they were a prescription. I didn't have your "vivid" dreams, darnit all. I was up all night climbing the walls. I never saw on the instructions to take them off at night.

It had the same effect on me in the morning, though. Just too exhausted to have a smoke!

Hmmm, I see a condo development plan being starting on the left coast, when news of this gets out.

SpottedBeaver? Is there an ointment for that? Just kidding, I couldn't resist that. : )

If there's something to this dream thing, then we can expect to see a massive new condo being built over a grave and bought by Gary Condit. I can see him now, sitting around in a dimly lit den, waiting for the "Ghost of Intern Past" to arrive - Chandra Levy, of course.

But on balance, he is not complaining...

Sounds like that "demon of lust" that the popular kook queen of daytime TBN, Joyce Meyer, says keeps bedeviling her and has been in her family for generations. :D

Flip Wilson theology: "The devil made me do it".

My whole family observed that the night we ate artichokes, we all had wierd, vivid dreams.

I suggest we start a consortium, put up the hotel, and give all guests a nicotine patch and artichoke hearts!
