I'm looking for some server space to upload my pics to for FR articles. I was using Geocities, but for some reason the links to pics stored there do not always show up. Not sure why. Does anyone know of other websites that offer free server space?

I can't recall the name (darn) but the webspace was UNLIMITED. I know where you can get free webspace for a business.

I was using Geocities, but for some reason the links to pics stored there do not always show up. Not sure why. The reason why Geocities (and many others) do this is because when you use their server to post a picture on FR (or anywhere besides Geocities) their server takes a "hit" using up bandwidth without subjecting the viewer to Geocities' advertisements.
On a humorous note, I once linked a cool picture of a nebula from someone else's server to use as my FR background. When I (and a few other FReepers) took a look at it, my background had "turned" into an extremely pornographic picture. Apparently, it was the server's way of punishing me for using his space without permission. Now, I am so paranoid that I always post a picture on my FR homepage and refresh it a few times before I post it on a thread.

Who is your internet provider? Most provide at least some webspace as part of your account. Mine gives me 40 megs.

Sorry, I posted the earlier in a hurry.
NetFirms will host yourname.netfirms.com or yourname.com for free with one email account in exchange for a banner and/or pop-up ad. Ads are for Sprint, etc. No Porn. For $5 per month you can have yourname.com hosted with no ads and 2 email accounts.
Moved my wife's business site over there a few weeks ago and am in the process of rebuilding her site. So far they have been great. We have the free hosting right now, but when I finish her new site Ill upgrade to the 5 buck no ads. You can see the ads they put up here if you like Wife's temp page
