If you are not familiar with the term, "Postal" dosen't mean shooting up a post office. It is a means for shooters in different parts of the country to compete against each other in a contest of marksmanship.
Shooters are mailed numbered targets which they shoot, at agreed upon distances, times and calibers. The targets are returned via the mail (hence "postal") and scored. Obviously, the honor system comes into play here.
I think it would be interesting to do amongst ourselves. Any takers?

I shot mine today and will mail Monday. I took some digital pics if anyone wants to see them I guess I should wait until all targets are in.

Targets are on their way back to you.

Bad weather hampered any chance of shooting the match last weekend. I will shoot either this Wednesday or this coming weekend, and will have the targets headed your way by this coming Monday.

Your targets have been received.
I will not open any of the tubes until I have most of the targets back. They will all be scored at one time.
To: NY.SS-Bar9
By the way, what's the score? No not that score. How many people received their targets and how many were returned?
To: Shooter 2.5
Mine will be in priority mail early next week. I was one of the last to recieve targets.

Can you tell me how many returned their targets? Who are we still waiting for?
To: Shooter 2.5
I will open / score what I have as of Saturday.
I will not post any scores until I have all the targets back.
As of today, I have six "tubes" plus my targets. I do not recall if any of those with two sets of targets are back, but that leaves me with somewhere between 7 and 9 complete sets out of 16.
M1911 and CapandBall have reported sending the targets so I will probably see them in the next day or so. - That will make 9 - 11 of 16.
100% of the targets were received by the shooters, albiet some very late, so let's give everyone a fair chance to shoot the match.
BTW, no one here has to worry about me taking top honors - for some reason, I shot the "slow-fire" in both classes very poorly.

I made a little list and OKSooner, his wife and iBbryn and his wife were shooting. Those are the double targets. Since you didn't open up the tubes, we don't know if there are two sets inside.
I've been having a lot of fun with this so I hope you don't mind me posting to you. I'll check back in a couple of weeks and you may post to the people to find out if they still want to participate if the targets don't come in. I remember a post that I made that said that I thought you would only get about 10 back. That's been my experience with people who get involved with things like this. At least no one mentioned a high score that would discourage somone. That was my biggest fear.
I would like to see a list of those that returned but I guess I already did that with my list. Unless someone gave you a private reply.

We were trying to get to the range yesterday but didn't make it. We'll shoot it this weekend.
If we get really pressed for time I'll just shoot it off my back porch. I'm sure we can get the rapid fire pounded out without too many problems. If we do it on a Friday nite the cops will be busy enough that we could probably get the slow fire as well, but Mrs. ibbryn will probably insist on going to get to the range and doing it all legal.

You should let NY.SS-Bar9 know your progress so he knows what timespan to expect. I was only posting to him because I was curious to know how many shooters returned targets and when could we expect scores.
