couldn't find anything on the weasel.com/fund. What are the allegations? Or is this all BS.
To: Dick Vomer
the allegation is that Fund had a realtionship with some Melinda woman some 30 years ago. He moved to the East but they still remained friendly. He told her that of her kids are ever up east, to have them look him up. One of those kids was her daughter Morgan. She was 23 and Fund suppossedly had an affair with her. He also allegedly knocked her up and arranged for an abortion.

Info I read on the deleted article......Fund did NOT "arrange for her to have an abortion." She called him and told him that she was going to have one. In the transcript posted, she blamed him for not proposing alterate action. He replied that she had already made the decision.

Yup, go after the conservative journalist.
I wonder how many abortions Peter Jennings has arranged for?

And now for the rest of the story:
A spokesman for the paper says Fund is leaving to write a book but will continue to write a column for DowJones's Opinionjournal.com. When asked if Fund was asked to leave because of controversy surrounding rather startling charges made about his private life on weaselsearch.com (www.weaselsearch.com/jfund4654544318.htm), the spokesman said Fund's decision to take a leave was his own and "those allegations have no relevance whatsoever to the Wall Street Journal."
A source who knows Fund says he announced on Jan. 1 that he was engaged to Morgan Frances Pillsbury and will get married in Santa Barbara in March. Oddly, his fiancée is the daughter of the woman who made the allegations against him on Weaselsearch. Fund couldn't be reached for comment.
