This is worrisome. I don't mind the Feds doing their Constitutional duty to protect the US from, "All enemies, Foreign and Domestic", but the CHP thinking they are the FBI gives me pause.

Is this another "Red Davis Terrorist Alert"? If so I'd rather deal with the remote possibility or terrorism, than Phil Angelides having "Broad Powers".

Davis has been a disaster, what with his increase in state spending by 36% in only three years, plus his energy policy which has raised everyone's electric rates by from 50% to 100% while frittering away over $12 billion of state surplus in buying overpriced electricity, and entering into 20 year power buying contracts for more electricity than the state needs at inflated prices.

There is lots more to talk about, but the thing worth noting is that Davis wants everyone in CA to forget his screw-ups, and the way he plans to do that is to get everyone to concentrate on terrorist risks to California. Yes, they are few and far between, but he wants us to take our eyes off of his messes. That is his game plan. Bill Simon is the answer.

As outlined Monday by his top security advisor, former FBI agent George Vinson, the legislation Davis seeks is similar to the Patriot Act signed into law by President Bush in October. The governor's aides said New York has adopted a similar statute "If you think that the Clintons are good at abusing the law, you ain't seen nuthin' yet! Welcome to the People's Republic of California!!". Proposals are pending in Arizona and Washington state....

So many don't like the Patriot Act, which if enforced properly and ethically, wouldn't pose any danger to Americans.

Then along come Davis and the Democrats, you can see them licking their chops.
