No thanks Bill. I'll stick with one of your previous sucky versions of Windows." Yep. After reading every online professional evaluation I could get my hands on, I opted not to buy Win XP and bought Win2K Pro instead. As far as I've been able to determine, Win XP is just Win2K with all of the service packs integrated, a colorful but otherwise useless new GUI skin, and a couple of poorly integrated multi-media apps. Oh yeah... there's that intrusive authentication mechanism that shuts down the OS if you significantly upgrade your hardware. Pthhht.

Of course not. Hey, Bushy. I didn't think you were saying that. Good to hear from you!

That's eye candy. Poof! It's no more signficant than the color of the car they drove a decade ago. Is that why all cars are painted black today?

Consider how Chrysler sold millions of ugly, boxy K-Cars. Then, you will understand.

"We have had code writers that don't know a circle from a square. " There's a code writer around here whose toupe' is so old, tattered and threadbare that it sits on his head cockeyed and - get this - it's so sun bleached that it's olive green. OLIVE GREEN. And nobody says a word to him about it.
I think he's a VAX programmer. That would explain it.

Oooooooo you write code! That scares me! I know code writers that don't know their a$$ from a hole in the ground! We have had code writers that don't know a circle from a square. I work on both Macs and PC's. We all prefer Macs. Oh yea, and you are smelly.
I'm not surprised to learn that your company hires idiots. You might want to reconsider that line of attack before you proceed further.

Spock3000,
Why don't you turn down the volume and try elevating the conversation and discourse when you discuss with Bush2000?....

Congratulations.
What's even more sad is that I think you do make equivalence between Microsoft and a group of people who murdered millions of Jews. Dude, it's just software. It's not a life.

Knock off the attacks.

"
Windows CE.Net is now available to hardware manufacturers....and a variation on the Internet-enabled refrigerator. The Icebox, from Salton...will be a kitchen data terminal that can show TV programs, retrieve recipes from the Web and perform other domestic chores."
Great, now in addition to your PC hackers will be able to get into your refrigerator. What's next, a firewall for the icemaker?

If you really want to waste your time hacking into my refrigerator, by all means knock yourself out.

I was watching TechTV today, and two guys were reviewing the new iMac. The only two words I heard them repeat, when talking about its features, over and over and over were Photos and Multimedia. One reviewer was talking about wanting to do DVDs on the system, but he would have to go to the $1800 buck system as opposed to the $1300 base model. Never did I hear any mention of applications that non-graphic designers use.
As for the colors of the present iMacs; that's okay if you live in Malibu Barbie's beach house. The iMac laptop looks like a little girl's makeup case. Every time I am a college all the PCs are taken while all the chairs at the Macs are empty.
