[history]
Authorities will soon begin searching for thousands of Middle Eastern men in the United States who have disappeared after being ordered to leave the country, according to officials familiar with the operation.
The Justice Department has identified about 6,000 young men from the Middle East who have ignored deportation orders, and has decided to make the arrest and removal of them the highest priority among efforts to locate hundreds of thousands of foreign nationals who have defied such rulings, authorities said.

Me, I don't want my family blown to little pieces on an innocent foray to the shopping mall. It's coming if we don't remove at least some of the threat. You have a break a few eggs to make an omelet.

Because we haven't reigned in the Universities who like the money their families toss at them.
This country needs to stop screwing around, take the writedown and move on.

On this point I have to admit that Pat Buchanan (sp?) is right on the money.

"Authorities will soon begin searching for thousands of Middle Eastern men in the United States who have disappeared after being ordered to leave the country, according to officials familiar with the operation."Fox news reported this morning that some people are hollering "racial profiling" already...of course. Also, what's this stuff about not all these disappearing illegals not doing anything suspicious??? Pulling a disappearing act after you've been deported, rather than leaving the country you've been deported FROM, IS suspicious!
You know, I don't care if these aliens came from a small planet orbiting an unknown solar system in the M1 galaxy...if they are "illegal" then arrest them, period. Last I knew, "illegal" meant "against the law".

"The issue is especially critical for Mexico because its economy relies on an estimated $9 billion sent home by Mexicans living in the United States"It's whole ECONOMY relies on this? Why not just offer Mexico statehood, then the money would at least stay more or less in the US.
JUST KIDDING
I'd rather close the borders for two year until we get some of these national security issues straightened out.

Replace the INS with Block Buster Video. They will hunt you down!

From the article:
The vast majority of people ignoring deportation orders are Hispanics from Latin America.
Mark your calendars. It only took 4 months so far. But the message is getting loud and clear -- no more illegals!
This same policy was never enforced by the Clinton INS.

Apparently out State Department is still allowing hundreds of people into the US. We must all write them and urge them to cease and desist giving all Arabs entering the country visas, student and otherwise. This war on terrorism is not going to work in this country because of our immigration people; the INS and the State Department are not cracking down as ordered. Call your congressmen/women today and tell them to quit talking us to death and do something about this deplorable visa mess. All who abuse their visa 'rights' must be deported immediately!
Someone must put them on a plane and someone must alert the other end they are arriving. What on earth is wrong with these people who do not follow up? It's not as if the government doesn't pay enough, it is probably because the DOJ has not had time to empty out unqualified workers from the last administration.

Further note:
Authorities are just beginning to add an estimated 314,000 names of absconders [i.e., foreign nationals who have remained in the country illegally after they were ordered deported] to the FBI's National Crime Information Center database, a list of criminal records used by more than 80,000 law enforcement agencies. Adding the names will allow local, state and federal authorities to alert the INS when they have located someone who has violated a deportation order.
