The thing that gets me is that 30 minutes after it happened the FBI said "nothing to see here..bla bla bla" despite the note supporting bin laden.

I think we're all tired of "instant analysis" by Homeland Security (I don't think it was the FBI that issued that statement). They will probably still insist it's not "terrorism" -- since only the perp died. Well, golly gosh, Tom Ridge, I guess I forgot that airplanes crashing into syscrapers was a common occurence before 9/11, and of course, it poses no threat to public safety, so we should just forget it and move along. /sarcasm.

There's evidence that one can attribute a liberal background to the pilot: he lived in Pinellas county and grew up in Boston and his father doesn't seem to be in the picture. More will come out later. But all this attribution of blame based on a particular incident is a losing game. Sooner or later some atrocity or scandal happens in one's own backyard -- and is that a reflection on oneself? One way or another these things have a way of coming back around. After Taliban John, San Francisco might not be quick to take random incidents elsewhere as indicative of any larger truth about some other part of the country, but the shoe could be on someone else's foot next. There are enough crazies out there wherever you live or I live or anybody else lives. They are responsible for what they do themselves.

Scheist....now what if that thing had been loaded with potent high explosives and the pilot rammed it straight into a nuclear reactor in the Northeast US or West Coast or somewhere else; straight into the center of the reactor?

What if the thing was loaded with sarin or VX and the guy rammed it into a football stadium or a crowded street in Tampa?
