3 F-111,s were lost during the "Lancer " opps..during "Linebacker 2" -9 F-111'S were lost..10 crew KIA.for 4000 combat missions. In 35 years only 13 F-111's have been lost..only I confirmed shot down..remainder were mid-air collission,flight into terrain..structural failure,and unknown....Pretty Impressive Girl!..info comes from the official F-111 web site.

F-111's are awesome platforms.

They really made their bones tank plinking during the Gulf war.
I had heard something about them being fazed out.
