Oh, so
knowledge of an impending event is what sets you off? Hey, I've got news for you, the Poles
knew the Nazis were going to attack when there were 1.5 million German troops on their border. Does that make them culpable? I guess they asked for it then, huh? Obviously it was a result of a conspiracy between the Polish leadership and the Nazis. It must have been to benefit the wealthy Poles, you know the Polish aristocracy, the class of Poles which was completely exterminated within 6 weeks of Nazi occupation. Or perhaps it was "the Jews"? Yeah, they made out like bandits under the Nazis in Poland. Obviously another conspiracy.
Here's another comtemporary of the "Pearl Harbor: government complicity" reasoning: the French were already at war with Germany when the Panzers rolled thru the Ardennes and encircled them. "Guilty" as well? You remind me of the French police who rounded up retreating French soldiers at the train stations and executed them or the French peasants pitchforking downed Allied pilots because they "didn't stop" the Germans from strafing them.
Next time there's a crime in your neighborhood perhaps the police should come and arrest you. "Arrest Arator, he knows everything, therefore he was in on it".

Of course, Jim Robinson has it wrong. We're not at war Anyone this benighted doesn't merit an email response.
To: Vigilant1
At least he quoted Jim correctly.
Jim is clear, honest, and to the point.
Then MR follows it with the opposite.

I can post the names of dozens of books, all with "unclassified government documents", that "prove" that we never landed on the moon. Here's some big media quotes from Day of Deceit's cover:
"It is difficult, after reading this copiously documented book, not to wonder about previously unchallenged assumptions about Pearl Harbor." -- Richard Bernstein, The New York Times
"Fascinating and readable...Exceptionally well presented." -- Robert Bartlett, The Wall Street Journal
"Perhaps the most revelatory document of our time." -- Tom Roeser, The Chicago Sun-Times
In other words, don't take my word for it. Read the book and make up your own mind.

no one ever mentions the vast amount of oil that we get from Mexico
Give it a week. Raimondo will see it, give goPatgo a call, and it will become part of the Reconquistas story.
To: Arator
Were you attempting to be funny there, or did it just turn out that way?
To: Vigilant1
Jim is "not interested" in facts, only in selling Bush's wars. Free Republic isn't about news any more, only about propaganda. That may be true, but FR is a private website. Jim can do whatever he wants.

1. 'Free Republic' can't admit anything, it can't talk. It's not even a living creature, much less a human being.
Rummy, is that you?
To: Arator
Here's some big media quotes from Day of Deceit's cover: You do realize that blurbs on the back of a book isn't proof of anything.
What are they going to do, put the one that says "this is a piece of unadulterated garbage" on the back?
You might want to pick up the book "Arming America" by Michael Bellesiles. I purports to show that the gun culture in this country never existed and that the 2nd amendment really did apply to militias. It is copiously footnoted and has had many great things said about it. It has also won a Bancroft Prize, the oscars of publishing. So it MUST, by your logic, be accurate.
The only problem is that it is a complete and total fraud.
Don't believe everything you read.

A week or two ago I went over to DU to see what "the Other Side" was doing. They had some "Bush Bashing" and Ann Coulter smear campaign stuff posted over there and "clintoon lovin'" stuff. I couldn't help myself. I registered. On one posters' comment about "I can't stand that $%&*&^%^&*^*^& woman" (Ann Coulter), I posted:
"Oh, yeah? Well, then you'll just LOVE this":
And on another one, the poster was talkin' about Bush not doing good in the War effort, citing that we hadn't captured Osama bin Laden. I told him that we had eliminated the Taliban as an institution and busted the Terrorist organization Al-Qaeda in Afghanization (taken out their terror training camps, etc.). All that in just 2 months! I also stated that clintoon (I said "Bill Clinton", I was so proud of my self for using constraint) had claimed he tried to bin Laden for 8 years, but he couldn't do it. I logged out after those two posts.
Well, a little while latter I went back and the posts were GONE. And when I tried to log in it said "Try later". Well, dang! Two truthful posts (no language, racist or violent posts whatsoever! !), and I am banned. They didn't even bother to answer my inquiry why the posts were removed and why I couldn't log in. Their little "rules" say "NO conservative posts". Imagine that, DIMocRATS using and abiding by RULES. Too bad they didn't take that stance in Florida 14 months ago during the PREZ election, huh???
Keep up the GOOD WORK, Jim! ! I love FREE Republic! !
(((PING)

Re this entire issue you raise:
Are Ms. Hartwell and associates in need of psychiatric assistance to deflate enlarged and out of control egos?.....
I have to laugh at this pathetic quest of theirs for internet recognititon.

"His website...His rules."
LOL! When I was writing for a newspaper, I objected to the editor about something he didn't want to print. I asked him "What about freedom of the press?" He replied, "Freedom of the press only exists if you own the press."

Medication obviously needs replenishing over there. They have proof that the government set up the anthrax scare. See, one of the letters was a photcopy of the other, and, this is a direct quote:
Most places which have copiers have typewriters or word processors, appliances whose operation is no mystery to the sort of people who go in and out of government laboratories.
To: Vigilant1
Is this Michael the AH again? I had a bit of a book on him. He also claims to have been recruited by Agency. He involved in some strange stuff in Hawaii
To: CDHart
Woo hoo
.that must have took a while. How about this one: Freedom from the press?
LOL
Hillary Clinton demands to be heard at a Freeper Rally. You say You have to be out of your mind lady. She says your censoring and suppressing other viewpoints It is the same thing which would otherwise be absurd that you are now demanding.
To: Vigilant1
Ya gotta have thick skin to post some of Michael Rivero's crap here. I haven't read many of the responses but I would guess that most of them are attacking the messanger and not the message or confusing you with the message. You have more sand than I do. Thanks though for stirring the pot. It has been way to civil around here. /;-)

FYI: Some Yo-Yo hyped "whatreallyhappened.com" at the end of the first hour of C-SPAN this Saturday AM.
To: Arator
As an old time FReeper, I regard Michael Rivero to be one of the most interesting posters to ever post to Free Republic. I always looked for his threads and valued them greatly as they always challenged me to think a bit harder and deeper about unfolding events, and to question the official truth. Some of us have known Rivero, electronically at least, for years before FR even existed. And there's no doubt that he has done some good work, particularly in regard to Vincent Foster and TWA 800.
But something has happened. Whatever that something is, unfortuantely discredits that good work. Anyone who believes that the US Government is involved in some nefarious conspiracy in the events related to the Sept 11 massacre at the WTC &c, brings shame to those of us who do think that government has lied to us about some other things.
There is no defense for most of the stuff Rivero has posted since Sept 11.
