THE folks at Msnbc are talking to former Republican presidential candidate and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Alan Keyes about hosting a 10 p.m. show up against Fox News' new hire, Greta Van Susteren. Meanwhile, Van Susteren, a lawyer before her O.J. Simpson commentary turned her into a CNN star, reportedly has penned an eight-page memo detailing CNN's demerits. She plans to keep the document secret as long as CNN doesn't try to paint her as an ungrateful traitor.

Was there somethng you didn't understand about my post? I am not going to publicly announce something told to me in confidence. As for the ex-volunteers, some have been open about it and some not. Since I can't be sure who spoke openly and who didn't, I will not divulge any names. If you can't see that it is only right to handle it that way, I don't know how else to explain.
So called " principled men " don't give aid and comfort to the enemy. Keyes allows himself ( revels in, actually ! ) to be used as a tool against his supposed party's president; at every turn. That is NOT being " principled " at all.

Did it ever occur to you to LOOK at those threads to see what they're about?
The ones in which Keyes slams Bush are long; the ones in which Keyes just talks about what he thinks are pretty short.
That ought to tell you something.
And it sure tells Alan Keyes something: the only way for HIM to get publicity is to include George and Laura Bush in his articles/speeches.
In case you haven't noticed, outside of FR, hardly anybody gives a damn about Alan Keyes, including George W. Bush.
I think you've hit upon it perfectly! That's exactly the angle that dictator Keyes and his followers want to project. It's all about the publicity, honey, and the more he gets, the more they get.....if ya know what I mean......
So he and his staff got a "show" now, (although they all seem to say, maybe) I'll bet on Miss Marple's predictions. Getting ratings on cable may just prove to be as hard as lining up voters.......

You are an absolute joke, Howlin! First of all, PKM at #267 went on and on about Keyes saying this and that but there was no reference points to indicate the periods she was referring to and her post mentioned an article--no dates; nothing to suggest a time frame.
At #398, I asked her for the dates of the article, convention, etc., and said that Howlin could provide the date that Keyes gave his endorsement....I remember some time back you ranting and raving that he only endorsed days' before, and it was brought up back then that it was 2 weeks or so before the election. I figured you'd either keep a copy for your edification, or you'd get rid of it so you could deny you knew any such.
Then #399 (I believe that was deport or more shea ??) had info regarding an email and I think a news article.
So motor mouth, what is there to learn, hmmm?
None of this comes even close to proving the kinds of things you have charged. In fact, it does just the opposite, put in it's true context.

FYI, I received an e-mail on Thurs., Oct. 19, from the "Keyes 2000" committee, which reads as follows:
"Ambassador Keyes has pledged his support for George W. Bush, and we're all wishing him the best."

Since his surprisingly strong showing in the Iowa caucuses, where he gained 14 percent of the vote, Keyes has fallen off the political radar screen.
He won three delegates Tuesday in Oregon's primary, and five recently in North Carolina, bringing his total to 10 -- 1,024 short of the number needed to win the nomination. (George W. Bush, the presumed GOP nominee, had 1,412 delegates as of Tuesday.) {end snip}

I want an answer to a very simple question, from the fringers and nonsupporters of President Bush; to wit : IF ALL OF YOU ARE SO MUCH MORE INTELLIGENT, PRINCIPLED, ENLIGHTENED, MORAL THAN THE REST OF US JUST " REGUAR , CONSERVATIVES ARE, WHY ARE YOU THE ONES WHO START WITH THE NAME CALLING / PERSONAL VILFICATION ?
Perhaps those who can, should CCP all of the " dirty " threads , wherein the flames WERE started and continued by by the Keysters. Then, there was that thread , when Keys was on Hannity & Colmes, trashng President Bush, and thse of us, who quoted what we had heard him say , what he said, were told that Keyes had NOT said what we had heard him say, and that we were all liars, and worse. The old " who do you believe , me or your lying ears ?", by people who had NOT even seen the show !
