1. What was he doing out in the street?
2. Wasn't he on a leash?
3. Which of the Clinton's was responsible for cleaning up his poop from the streets and sidewalks?

The Clinton's need to be charged with felony pet neglect.

The Secret Service agents in charge of Buddy are responsible for his safety. The clintons were victimized
again. I'm sure the agents have already been put on administrative leave
and are awaiting transfer to a baggage inspector's assistant position in
the new federalized airport security system.

'Buddy,' the Clintons' Dog, Dies

By Associated Press
January 3, 2002, 7:24 AM EST

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Buddy, the ebullient chocolate retriever who moved from the White House to Chappaqua with President Bill Clinton, was killed by a car near the Clinton home, police said Thursday.

Officer Bruce Cathie of the New Castle police said Buddy was struck Wednesday afternoon in an accident on Route 117, a busy two-lane road at the end of Old House Lane, the cul-de-sac that includes the ex-president's home.

Julia Payne, a Clinton spokeswoman, said neither the ex-president nor his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, was home at the time.

"We are deeply saddened by Buddy's death," the Clintons said in a statement issued by Payne. "He was a loyal companion and brought us much joy. He will truly be missed."

Police said it was unclear whether Buddy was being walked at the time of the accident or had escaped from the Clinton home. He "just darted out in front of a car," said Officer Larry Green.

My guess is that most FReepers have the same feelings I do for a pet. I just had a 15 year old dog put down on the 17th and it still hurts.

What you see here, IMO, is the absolute distrust of anything Clinton.

"the horror, the horror "

hahaha!!! Normally I would never even laugh when I hear a story of dog being hit by a car, but being the clinton's ...it's just too much!

Like everything else involving the clintons the dog was undisciplined and out of control.
How was this "beloved" canine out running around in the streets?
Didn't he have a secret security detail like his big SISTER?

Two details were mentioned, neither Bill or Hill were home. Are they ever? Could they not afford a fence for Buddy's protection; since we are paying for theirs?

He was never more than a photo op for these two, the King and the Queen of Narcissism.

Am so sorry for Buddy; I hope he did not know; and just enjoyed his caretakers, whoever they were. . .

Bubba and Booba weren't home?

Was one of them behind the wheel of the car that hit the dog?

We know Hillie won't break for a cop. Hitting a dog sure wouldn't bother her...

"We are deeply saddened by Buddy's death," the Clintons said in a statement issued by Payne.

I don't believe ANYTHING saddens them EXCEPT when they can't get attention from their SUBJECTS. How could we possible expect these people to run a country when they couldn't take care of their own dog? They make me sick!
