I was just about to mention them and found this. That won't stop me from buying even more in the future, because they are one of the best values on the market for any product. It just suprised me when I saw it since I have never seen anything by them not made in the U.S.

i've had my penn 'squidder' and 'bait caster' conventional reels for almost 30 years.
i don't like spinning reels.

NOW THEY ARE CHINESE CRAP, FIT ONLY FOR WAL-MART SHELVES. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT BUY PENN REELS IF YOU EXPECT A QUALITY PRODUCT... OR IF YOU EXPECT SOMETHING MADE IN THE STATES.
