If you want to check out some really great furniture, try this. The Stickley Brothers, based out of Manilus, New York have been at it for over a century. We have a chair they built that used to be in my grandpas home. It has a nice look to it - not too fancy, not too plain. The new stuff probably costs a great deal, but if you can afford it, go for it. Definitely USA quality.

Also, just about any furniture manufacturer in Hickory, NC turns out furniture far superior to that from manufacturers in Europe. Sure, you could probably find an exclusive manufacturer over there with good quality, but I'm talking about product for Joe Blow, not His Excellency, Sir Joe Blow
