Amen on those dang poodles. But personally, I'd have a real hard time eating a dog if I had seen it alive. Was marveling just today, while walking through the park, just how gregarious dogs are, always willing to say hello in their own way to any friendly person. Truly a gift from God. But then again, so is steak.
The only dogs I've ever seen Koreans eat are the ones in the pictures... smallish yellow/blonde color dogs. I don't know what they are as far as breed.
The dog meat I had was rich, but almost every non-fish meat dish in Korea is rich. Sort of salty/sweet/spicy. Like bulgogi, sort of. If you didn't know what the meat was you'd eat it and like it, probably.
There are plenty more wierd things to eat there - like those stinking silkworm cocoons.
