Bin Laden: Attack on US to Stop Support for Israel

LONDON (Reuters) - Osama bin Laden (news - web sites), the world's most wanted man, said on a video broadcast by al-Jazeera satellite television on Wednesday that the September 11 suicide attacks were intended to stop U.S. support for Israel.

``Our terrorism against the United States is worthy of praise to deter the oppressor so that America stop its support for Israel, which is killing our children,'' the bearded, Saudi-born fugitive said.

He added that the tape was being issued to mark about three months since the attacks on New York and Washington and two months after the United States began its bombing of Afghan targets.

Looking tired but calm, bin Laden was dressed in a clean, camouflage-patterned combat jacket. He sat against a cloth or canvas screen, his Russian-designed submachinegun propped beside him. There was no indication where he was when he recorded the video.

I have an emotional and intellectual dislike of independent (i.e. when they are not in league with the US) British foreign policy. I believe their policies to be the most dishonest of any power that counts. Ask the Irish.

Understand what I am writing. It is not that they are always wrong. It is just that they are always hypocrites. Unlike the French who are always wrong or the old Soviets who were always evil or the Chinese who are always evil and duplicitous.

I found it particularly galling that the British who are so anti the rights of Jews in the Land of Israel and Jerusalem but they will travel around the world to fight a war for an island off the coast of Argentina.

I did not "support" the military junta in Argentina, who were certainly no friends of the Jews, but I did not want the British to win.

In any event my "support" in the matter consisted of following the news. I did not lend a hand to either side.

The Jews of Israel are on their own along with the help of a lot of friendly Christians. How many friendly nations is a big sore spot. Seems it's easy to play pile on these days and take the pro_Islamic line as the French have. In cocktail parties and elsewhere.
It wasn't enough for Jews to killed off all across Europe dying WW2. Now they want the Jews of Israel gone too. All for Arab oil?

Anyone who wants USA aid to be cut off to Israel is echoing the Islamic agenda. Anyone who demands that Israel retreat to indefensible borders is echoing the Islamic agenda. Israeli Jews are a prickly people but my request to these posters is to think that you are objectively on the side of Jihadist Islamics. Jihadist Islam is your friend and you are now making a deal with the devil.

When you show how the current policy is in OUR best interest, then I'll agree with you. Remember, Israel has interests that may overlap but not exactly the same as American ones. Your simplistic "do what they ask us" isn't exactly right.

You'll never agree with me....your thinly disguised racism will never allow it. You make up responses from me such as "do what they ask us"....I never even came close to saying that, I said it is in OUR national interest to help defend her.

Let me pose you a very simple scenerio to you. If you had a friendly old neighbor lady who had some crack heads living next to her that were always abusing her and her property would sit idle and watch it go on? And then one day after smoking alittle crack they go way over the edge and attack her because they want what she has while your sitting on your porch drinking a beer. What would you do? Wach it happen? Me firster....I ain't gettin' involved is that you?

We don't support Israel because we have too.....we do it on one level because it's the RIGHT THING TO DO !!! On another level we do it because it's in our intrest to do so. Just like the old lady....sit there and watch them kill her....guess what....in a matter of time your neat safe little abode is surrounded by crack heads for neighbors....nice little island you created for yourself isn't it. Then guess what....you have to board up your windows and cut little slots so you can shoot the bastards when the nightly raids start on your house. Nice neighborhood your creating there bud....i think i'll stay in mine where the neighbors help each other the kids play in the street and we barbeque on weekends.

i realize this example maybe too simplistic for you but try to think it through anyway.
