This response is to many of the posters that I find on Free Republic lately. Have we become just a bunch of bullies, a person cannot have an opinion whether we agree or not? If someone posts something that you disagree with instead of arguing your point intellegently, you make fun of them and paste their joining date. I am tired of that, I have noticed a distinct change in the character of us freepers and I dont like it. Please let's grow up and debate and learn and hopefully make a difference. Mitch Rushton

It's difficult to debate the merits of a cause that has recently KILLED 3000 of your fellow country men or to compare the mfs to George Washington. People who see merit in the cause of the terrorist can and should go straight to hell. Just one man's opinion.

Mitch--s/he did not start a reasoned argument, but rather posted as a disrupter. Charges (idiotic ones at that) with no support. S/he joined to harass not to enter with cogent points. There is a difference.

I despise someone who tries to equate the founding fathers to bin Laden and terrorism. And his opinion has been thoroughly refuted by posters in this thread.

This post was not news, it was not commentary, it was not well written, it had no point or thought to it. It was a thread posted with no purpose or thought. This is not a training school. When you chose to post a thread it should have some sense. Also, if it can be added as a post to an existing thread then do that.

Debate without the requisite presentation of a burden of proof is nothing more than mere insult. The only inherent refutation to insults is insults. Anything more is not deserving and is simply answering the invitation for a public lynching.

The proper category for such posts is "Your Opinion/Questions" so that people who are not interested in uncited opinions can filter them out.

Or is it too much to ask that people follow the rules?
