May I suggest you read the Gospel of John, all the way through, and when you're done, read it again; and when you've finished it a second time, read it once more. The Holy Spirit will speak to you as you read, showing you what He wants you to see. You can also, after the third time through, read the references to different verses back and forward from the Old Testament to New Testament. My humble opinion and advice.
