If I see one more albino ectomorph I'm gonna scream.

If they follow the book, there should be lots and lots of long-haired blonds in the Land of Rohan next year. Skol.

"Great waste of bandwith and disk space. Good job." Actually, a minor waste of both. And regulars can tell you I rarely post vanities.
What have you contributed lately of weight, pith, and import?

Those guys at least fight courageously or somewhat so, although they're still in the "assorted other bad guys" category :)

I am a regular. And nothing you said changes the underlying fact that, your vanity is weak, at best.

Finally saw TFOTR yesterday. I have to tell those of you who haven't seen it yet to ignore these naysaying wise-asses. This is easily the best movie I've seen this year. It has the emotional depth and quality of acting of a Gladiator or a Forrest Gump, but also a breathtaking array of visuals that George Lucas can only dream of. It is, in a word, stunning. Be there or be square. ;)

Judging by some of the recent reviews I've seen, in the liberal press, the backlash has already started.
What could Tolkien do? That's the way his world looked in '1938 when he wrote 'The Hobbit' and when the 'Trilogy' was in the works. There was no foundation from which to imagine a city of black, mountain or forest elves living in a temperate, European-type climate.

Did I actually read somewhere that you like the old movie "In Harm's way"? The "In Harm's Way" Fan Club is a mightly select group. I know of three of us so far.....My brother discovered the perfect way to watch "In Harm's Way." Whenever Burgis Meredith's character appears, laugh like The Penguin at the end of each of his lines! :P
