I heard on MSNBC that the OBL tied terrorists who bombed the WTC were known to use explosives in their shoes, so this is a known MO of his gang of murderers.
Since this man boarded in Paris, I can assume they are not searching or targeting certain types before letting them board the planes?
I met a man the other day who was told to remove his cowboy boots at an airport so they could check them. I guess it all depends on the airport.
American Airlines sure isn't doing itself any favors with its lack of screening of passengers.
