Unfortunately some of the blame also lies with the passengers. People opted for convenience rather than security, so the airlines didn't see the need to upsell security on their flights, which would have added on to the ticket prices.

However, he displayed actions that could easily have been interpreted as lethal. He is very lucky a passenger did not break his neck. It is not that difficult.

We used to cook our C-Rats with C-4. Occasionally some moron would take little pieces (pretending they were picking their nose)and flick them in the fire. This guy obviously didn't know what he was doing. Semper Fidelis!!
