Poll: What Colleges Are the Worst?
Free Republic Network/Ed Watch ^ | Dec. 21, 2001 | IronJack

Posted on 12/21/2001 3:25:33 PM PST by IronJack

In an effort to plan our first Ed Watch campaign, I am looking for colleges and universities that are the worst offenders of traditional American values. They may be havens for Leftists, Marxists, or other cultural traitors. They may sponsor curricula that promote anti-Christian values, anti-familial activities, or racial dissent. They may waste taxpayer money or advance a trivial or useless agenda. Whatever the case, they are institutions of liar learning that need to be "outed."

FReepers: Who are they?

There are too many to mention. An easier project would be to name colleges or universities that aren't leftist/socialist/commie pinko cess pools.

My choice for a sane college is Hillsdale.

Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

No doubt about it. The hands down winner.

I don't know, Temple Owl. The University of Wisconsin Madison has quite a history....

When I saw the title of the thread, Wisconsin was the first University that came to mind. Isn't this where that pc pig Shalala is from? If I am not mistaken, Wisconsin has some pretty strict sanctions against free speech and is basically a hotbed of liberal Nazism.

How about the UofM at AA? It is hard to believe that they don't belong in that "elite" group. SDS, legal champion of affirmitive action, and major pro-muslim s**t hole. The Daily claimed Habbad was only a board member rather than the founder of the terrorist charity. Their campus police also refused to help the FBI and unlike UofW no announcement of what they were doing to cooperate was made. They are also a hotbed of aclu activism.

would be easier to list the ones that are not cesspools.
George Mason, Chicago Economics, Grove City, Claremont, a few others.

Here in Tennessee it would have to be Tennessee State University; they are offering free scholarships to white H.S. grads, but the going rate for bodyguards is $30 hour, so they don't have many takers.

recent knowledge:
Evergreen State, WA
University of Washington, WA

ca. quarter-century ago:
UC Santa Barbara (alma mater, BS/MS, and they'll never get a dime from me)
UC Santa Cruz (even worse than UC Sandy Beaches)
UC Berserkely
Stanford ("Hey hey, ho, ho, Western Civ has gotta go" fame)

So many are so bad, a better question is:
Which are the best?
Hillsdale College, MI
[end of list]

I regret to say that my alma mater, Penn State, is fast on your heels. The place is being overrun and taken over by homosexuals and zany feminists of the stupid-mean variety. Plus, Penn State seems to be way too concerned with "diversity". It's pathetic. The inmates are running the asylum. In general, the liberal / pc crowd is slowly taking Penn State right down the toilet. I'm a lifetime member of the alumni assn. but I don't give them anything anymore. Buh bye, Penn State.

university of chicago probably gives you the best education in the US. it still retains most of it's core curriculum which is quite stringent but well rounded. diversity? i don't know, there are no bullsh-t courses and you work hard.

Lance, the answer to all of your questions is yes....unfortunately.

The most disturbing facit of the UW community is that due to it's size, it can, along with liberal Milwaukee, put just about anyone into office they want. Hence senators Feingold, Kohl and congressional representative Tammy Baldwin.
