Must've been a easy kill.
Just didn't lead them so much.

2 thoughts:
1. It's possible that this was an accident, and
2. The next time some friendly's want to form a significant convoy, they'd better get "clearance." Mistakes do happen sometimes.

The only good Mullah is a dead Mullah. Oh, I forgot, Islam is a peaceful religion -- it's just that the people who practice it are violent.

I wonder if this some "payback" from the current ruling body in Afghanistan. Since we have been coordinating targets with the Northern Alliance, they could have "purposely" provided misinformation to the US military saying that these are hostile targets, knowing full well that they are rival leaders that they want eliminated. They can also deflect criticism by saying that the US killed them rather than them.

LOL!!
How can you tell the difference between a friendly Islamic and an enemy Islamic?
The friendly one is not pointing his weapon at you at the instant of evaluation. This could, of course, change at any moment!
Turn your back on an islamic, ANY islamic, and invite an early demise!

Leave it to Reuters to report as matter-of-fact that it was a convoy of tribal leaders.
Frankly, from what we've seen on the news, it doesn't seem there's enough common interest and cooperation among Afghanistan's various tribal leaders to require them to travel in packs.

No, that ISN'T a report from Reuters. It's Reuters quoting the same Afghan Islamic Press. There's a BIG difference.
No one can read on this board.

Or, this could be "payback" by the United States to the tribal leaders who sold us out in Tora Bora and allowed Bin Laden and Al Qaeda to escape.

Gee, the Islamic "street" doesn't seem to be protesting this (or any other) attack.
Wonder why!
