A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 12/17/01

President Bush marked the end of Ramadan with a ceremony at the White House, where he also read stories to Washington-area Muslim children. He also answered a few questions from the press regarding the war on terror. Bush also had four non-cancerous lesions removed from his face, which is noticable on today's photos. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Oh, Miss Marple, I finally found that commemorative magazine on President Bush!!! I looked everywhere I could think of and couldn't find it until I finally checked a seedy little newsstand in a seedy part of town, and lo and behold, they had dozens of them!!

You were right! It is magnificent!! Loads of great pictures (in which, incidentally, his eyes look
quite blue) and quotes from him on every page! Every Bush fan should own it!

As always, thank you, Rintense. These pictures are outstanding. The Bush Family has once again turned this house into a warm and loving AMERICAN HOME after 8 long years of foreign occupation.

Seems like somebody went out of his/her way to really accentuate the burn marks on Bush's face in some of these pictures. Could Helen Thomas be moonlighting as a photographer now?

Every day I thank God he is our President.
During the Clinton years the White House became a place of disgrace and ugliness. Now it is a place of goodness and decency.
God Bless our President.

Thanks, I was worried about it since I have never had that kind of thing done. I bet a lot of golfers here in Vegas get that too.

Thanks again .

We sure are , I pray for his safety and health everyday. We are very fortunate and to even think what we could have had is a total nightmare.

ohioWfan...I am glad you found it!!

MJY1288---try Target, Maijer, Walgreens, newstands (not bookstores), Kroger, etc. It is out there, but you need to look at the places where magazines are purchased by those who are NOT the elite! LOL! This is good, because we need those folks to come on board!

It was in a newsstand, magazine-type specialty store in our (small) city. I had looked at Target, Meijer, our grocery Superstore, Barnes & Noble and Walden Books, and couldn't find it, so I looked in this newsstand (that has an aisle that it's best not to go down!), and there it was.

If you can't find one, I'll be happy to buy one, and send it to you. It really is fantastic, and I owe you one for the "You should thank me, I voted for Bush" bumper stickers!

Oh, did I tell you that my husband (who is a hospital administrator) put one of them on his company car?!! I mean, this is a man who wouldn't put a bumper sticker on a 6 year old van, and he put it on his hospital car! I still can't believe it! LOL!!

Foistly, thank you rintense, as always.

Miss Marple, I've looked and looked for that magazine. Tomorrow I'll try Walgreens. Thanks for the suggestion. By the way, does it have a title?

His eyes become so very gentle and his voice so calm and quiet.

GW's eyes are gentle, anyway, (though they may become more so around children.) I was noticing that during the recent interview with Baba Wawa, (the part where GW and Laura were sitting on the couch.) GW's eyes are very sweet, very guileless. I don't think that's something that can be faked.

But boy, that clip they showed of GW right after he'd been told that America was under attack-- check out his eyes there! They are furious! I guess his eyes are just very expressive, always showing what he's feeling.

Thank you for these excellent holiday photos. Every day the President is working to make our country a more friendly, safe, and prosperous place and the demagogue party will thwart every proposal, hoping for discord to advance their own political gain. They misunderestimate him.

The second picture with all of the kids is just beautiful! The little girl on his lap is picture perfect, just a doll!
This President and His First Lady spend a great deal of time being With children, instead of talking about being For the children, a remarkable difference.
Many thanks for another wonderful Day in the Life of President Bush!

the demagogue party will thwart every proposal, hoping for discord to advance their own political gain.

Remember a few years ago when Newt and the Republicans shut down the govt over a budget impasse, and it backfired on them politically? That's what I'm hoping happens with Daschle's continuous attempts to thwart the Bush agenda. Even the liberal Washington Post had a piece chiding him for his inaction today Prisoners of the senate .

By the way, does it have a title?

It's called George W. Bush, The Making of a Wartime President, and it's from the editors of The Day that Changed America.

It's slightly larger than a Time or Newsweek, and it's got a picture of the President (in a white shirt) on the cover, with a large flag behind him, and the outer part of the magazine is sort of a blue-gray picture of a crowd of soldiers with flags.
