Is this guy a TERRORIST? Is he bombing combatants in war? Is his purpose to terrorize? Why, let's blame the entire faith . . . and why the hurry to charge him with anything? Let's just hold him without charges until Spring. And lose the lawyer.

Congressman Issa is from California and he once referred to Bill Clinton as a "slut"! Therefore, I LOVE ISSA!!! Thank God this plot has been foiled. For victory & freedom!!!

FBI alleging that members of the JDL had planned to bomb a mosque in Culver City (L.A.) and the office of Congressman Darrell Issa (who is of Lebanese ancestry). I believe there's only one mosque in Culver City on Washington Blvd. It has had pro-American slogans posted on it for at least a few weeks, for what it's worth.

The JDL is bad medicine. They should be investigated thoroughly when suspected of terrorist activitiy.

Did anyone see the coverage on Fox News last night re: Israeli spying by "art students" within the US?

The Jewish Defense League is to the Jews as the abortion clinic terrorists are to the Christians, if that is a grossly fair way to put it. Although they never used pipe bombs. This is quite a surprising report. Maybe the FBI is trying to protect a Palestinian terror front the JDL was targeting. The JDL targets persecutors of the Jews and have in the past rioted with red graffiti a Soviet Aeroflot jet liner in New York because of Soviet oppression of Russian Jewry.

I know where that mosque in Culver City is: It's right across the street from Martin B. Retting gun store.

JDL is not representative of Israel or the Jews. They are a fringe group that is bad news. Their name Jewish Defense League is misleading in my opinion.

By all means...let the Ashcroft raids begin!!!!

If the JDL had bombing plans I'd bet it wasn't a mosque. All that would do is generate sympathy for "good" muslims. It'd make more sense if they planned to bomb a Jewish Temple or a church than a mosque. IMHO.

The JDL has a long history of terrorism.
From the DrudgeReport: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A32936-2001Dec12.html
"A suit filed by Rubin resulted in a court decision last year banning prayer during Burbank City Council meetings. "
The media is always reminding us about the danger of "Crhistian Fundamentalists", "White Supremacists" and "Muslims Fundamentalists". Why doesn't the media remind us from the danger presented by Jewish Supremacists and Jewish Fundamentalists such as those in the JDL?
The article on the Drudge Report shows this guy was responsible for banning prayer at Burbank City council meetings. So those of you that think Rubin is only against Arabs or Muslims realize that the JDL is also anti-Christian. The article I linked above also says he burned Confederate flags. So you Southerners realize that this guy also hates Southerners.
Again, my question is why doesn't the liberal media remind us of the danger of Jewish Supremacists and Jewish Fundamentalists like those in the JDL?

Isolated event by one kook in a tiny group. Issa is no angel, he winks at terrorist groups, but no excuses for Mr. Rubin. If it's true.

I hate to say I told you so -- actually, I don't really -- but I predicted this whole thing with a column I wrote about Irv Rubin, oh, about 5 or 6 months ago, I reckon. When that nutball was hailed by the Libertarian Party as its latest prestigious acquisition, I warned that one day he would be involved in an incident such as this -- and tarnish the already badly damaged image of the LP. Somebody posted a part of the column either here or on another thread on the same topic.
