10:16 PST (AP) -- "There are no known casualties. Rescue efforts are under way," Clarke said in a press conference with Gen. Peter Pace, vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

"It is possible to eject from the B-1 bomber," said Pace.

He said the plane has a crew of four.

The weather is looking good for rescue.

Good news, I hope luck and the Lord are with the Para Rescue USAF troops and the aircrew.

Perhaps they got to close to the waves.

No, those pilots are so good at what they do, NOE is like a walk in the park for them. They wouldn't "hit" a wave. The biggest danger of NOE is engine failure etc. Then it wouldn't have been from pilot error, but mechanical. Not much time to correct a problem.

But actually, who knows right now? All I know is that American servicemen/women have crashed.

Prayers that somehow they survived it.

Malfunction of some kind sounds right, especially based on location and the fact that probably only one or two countries could shoot it down.

The jet went down about 30 miles north of Diego Garcia, a base being used by bombers in the anti-terrorism campaign in Afghanistan.

Thanks for the link AR!

Strange, we have not lost a single helicopter, Fighter, B52, B-1(as far as we know at this time)or a Grunt(ours) to direct enemy action.

It seems we have all the trouble we need shooting or bombing ourselves.

I don't care how many sorties we put in the air or on the ground it is inexcusable for us to kill our own people.

If we say that a certain percentage of casualities is to be expected due to enemy action, is this also true as a result of friendly fire?

This is unacceptable with the technology we possess!!

"Unless Diego Garcia has changed a lot since 1978 when I was stationed there, its a 26 mile by 1 mile strip with a good airstrip, coral sand, tedium, and no women."

My uncle was there just after 9/11 (he was in Oman on 9/11 & was flown there).
He was there for a couple days afterward & said it was, hands down, the most boring place on earth!

Michael Rivero bribed the CFR to exert pressure on Jewish Bankers who ordered you to write that.
