I know many call him "Zig-Zag Zell" but I have always found Zell to be a DINO. He would be a moderatly conservative Republican a la Dick Lugar (although Zell is better than Lugar on guns) if he converted, which he would never do.
Georgia has produced some real "prizes" (Jimmy Carter and Wyche Fowler anyone?), although there have been some great moderate and conservative Dems from that area as well. One of my personal favorites was the late Larry McDonald, who unfortunatly passed away in the Korean Air flight in 1983.
