Bill Clinton, king of chat Own series for ex-president
Bill Clinton could be making a return to public life as a chat show host.
The former president, currently touring Britain as a charity event speaker, is in talks with Michael Eisner, head of the Walt Disney corporation, about starting a series next spring.
'Bill is very keen to get back into the public arena and feels a TV show would be the ideal platform,' said a New York TV executive. 'Despite all the scandals while he was in the White House, he still remains very popular and he's extremely telegenic. Who is going to refuse an invitation from him to be on the show? He'll have the pick of the celebrity crop.' |

Maybe he could interview Hillary, and Terry, Carville, Lani Davis, the war slut from CNN, Dan, Mr. Jeffords, McCain, his brother's lawyer, his brother, Mark Rich, Mary Jo, Reno, And in the other corner,GW, Rummy, Rice, Home land security, VP, Laura, Mrs. VP, the Cheney's daughter, Guilianni, Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, Barbara's husband, Lott, Dick Morris. It will be an all left, all the time show, because no respectable person from the right would appear. Hence, no audience, no ratings, just Bill and Hill all the time. Not in today's world! We'll sic MiamiFreePress on 'em. That should do it!!!!

Exactly, who has time to watch TV during the day anyway?Almost no one I know, that's for sure.I'm sure Eisner would like to whoop things up and give him "Prime Time".Oh, that would be the worst. No,getting "put on" as an assistant interviewer for 20/20 would be pretty bad. He'll do it(and Eisner will put him on)for NO $$$ at all. He'd take it just for the 'Pub'.Remember, all he has to do is "Show Up" for taping. He'd have Writers galore on his segment.(I don't believe he can get a 1/2 hour show either).Well,it looks like I need to buy more copies of Barbara Olsen's book and continue to spread the word around alot more.He remains a "continuing bad piece of work".

I really doubt Bill will do this. But, if he actually does, it will be either hillariously nauseating or nauseatingly hillarious, one of the two.
He will talk all the time, no one else will be able to get a word in edgewise, and he will spend every episode telling endless self-congratulatory lies and complaining about other people. What a show. Nobody will be able to watch it for long except in horrified fascination.

Or, as one FReeper noticed on the other thread:
"At first I thought maybe she was going to wait until 2008, but I've heard rumors that Bubba is planning on doing a TV show. What an interesting thing to be happening right now, when she could take full use of such a program to promote herself on TV - FOR FREEEEEEEEE!!!! They would do it too! I can see it now - all the previous tripe from the Clinton GANG just happens to show up on Bubba's show and trash the administration."
They know the sheeple will swallow anything.
