Help...I have a Kool-Aid drinking Mind Numb Liberal Cousin! (My cousin's Christmas letter)
My Cousin's Annual Christmas Letter to the Family | 12-9-01 | Norm Klimek

Posted on 12/09/2001 5:36:43 PM PST by Rash32

It's that time of year again, when I send out the latest updates for the year. And what a year indeed! First, I must get in my "told you so!" Yep, Bush is flushing 10 years of prosperity down the toilet faster than you can say Hail Mary! Fortunately the devastation has not yet hit us too hard in Colorado. Matthew is in kindergarten, Sean in second grade. Marsha is working at home with an Internet based order entry job. My work is going well, the economy has not yet hit us. We went to Montana to see Aunt Lisa this summer. We put a TV and VCR in the Caravan and it actually went fairly well. So travel is now becoming more possible. Lucy has chewed up everything and is now bigger than Matthew. She is a Golden Retriever and we hope to breed her next year. We want to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and that next year will bring better times for us all.

OK, so I lost a lot of investment money this year, but Mr. Bush got us a 600.00 rebate check! I would have rather seen it go to a prescription drug benefit for the elderly. Yes, the Grinch stole our prosperity and gave it to the rich. I would bet my salvation that Jesus does not approve of the Republican economic policy, especially right around the holidays. Of course, there is the convenient excuse of September 11th. As we return to the memories of the 80's, let us consider the 241 unarmed marines who died in Lebanon. The cargo planes full of weapons sent to Iran in exchange for hostages, to Bin Laden to fight the Soviets and to Saddam to fight Iran. I believe Dubya is doing a good job of cleaning up the mess his Dad left, but the economy was tanking long before 9-11. Don't insult this country by having a draft dodger use terrorism created from his dad's mistakes to give money to the rich. It turns out the anthrax was domestic with the culprit (like Oklahoma City) having Right wing Politics. The FBI reached that conclusion as only Liberals have been targeted. Surely Mr. Ashcroft will solve the case. Let's hope the war on terrorism will focus on the American Taliban next, our own right wing.

I have a holiday recipe for fundamentalist soufflé - mix a heavy dose of fundamentalism with government, with easy access to guns. Mix in some religion based education with low tax rates and school vouchers. Skin away all investment in infrastructure, diverting all resources to the military. Strip away social programs with a clever, then beat the women until they are tender. Remove all intellectuals and then sprinkle with school prayer. Bake for 10 years and then simmer until buildings start blowing up. Any intolerant religion works nicely!

And, meanwhile, all we learned about his kids is that they got to watch videos in the van during their summer vacation. My kinda Dad (Not!). Jeez!

Hey, do ya suppose that he could be related to my brother- in -law? We've put up with that stuff for years- it finally cooled off a LITTLE after 9- 11. People like that are hopeless- suggest he put himself on a brain implant list.

Is this not the height of irresponsible parenting or what? The guy can't even look forward to a trip with the kids as an opportunity for some real communication, where life-long memories are made. What a maroon.

Tell him you thought his letter was so interesting you passed it on to a "few" friends (us) along with his e mail address, because you felt he'd be sure to welcome a holiday response. Do It!!!

Definitely send this leftist lightweight a copy of this thread. So many great comments on how foolish this person is.

Oh, I just read that Greenspan and his SEC buddies in March 2000 got rid of the reforms Reagn put in place that made it easy for companiies to get financing. Anyone remember a certain NASDAQ crash around then?

Also ask your foolish cousin how if Bush's budget and spending went into effect in October and the rebates (which if he does not want he can send to me)cashed in September possibly caused a recession in March? Does Bush have a time travel machine?

I forgot. Ask your cousin how he can explain a drop in the 4th quarter GDP from 8.3% 1999 to 1.9% in 2000. Seems like a slowdown to me.

Does your cousin generally politicize in his Christmas letters? If not, this is actually encouraging. If he feels so threatened that he needs to rant in a Christmas letter, GW must be doing very well. I have to wonder about his priorities. He tells us more (inaccurate as it is) about our president and the GOP than he does about his own wife and kids.

He proved again that Roosevelt was right; the wealthy should pay some taxes.

Someone ought to explain to this genius just exactly how much of the tax burden the wealthy already carry. Some taxes? Excuse me? They won't be happy until they take it all. Then who will pick up the tab?

Sorry Rash, but your cousin sounds like a real loser. Next time you see him, tell him to get his grubby leftist hand out of my purse.

What? You mean that pesky lowest-rate-of-growth-in-five-years under Clinton? Details, details! Don't bother him with details.

The letter was actually an Email he said, "Here is your Christmas card and my annual dissertation.

Oh. Well then, why don't you just give us this idiot's e-mail address and we'll do what's right and proper?

The letter was actually an Email he said, "Here is your Christmas card and my annual dissertation. I didn't want to risk sending anyone anthrax. This can be printed on high quality paper if you want a hard copy."

Wow!! Lazy, cheap, and ignorant. The liberal trifecta.

My cousin is a hopeless liberal but I would very much like to put him in his place with a short one or two line responce. I thought fellow Freepers could help me deliver the proper responce to my cousin's diatribe.

Why bother? From his screed, he obviously is impervious to logic and reason.

You have 2 choices, as I see it... One, buy a nice aluminum baseball bat and tattoo him about the head, shoulders, and body. Two, tell him to f@#k off!!! (Personally, I'd go with #2 as this piece of crap would not be worth spending time in the pokey for A&B.)

I know what you are talking about! I'm from TN and everyone here used to be a Democrat. My Dad and step-mom and two of my sisters are Republicans but I became a Republican before my Dad did!!! He said the Democrats are for the working man. After several conversations and really researching what the Democrats stand for, he came to the conclusion that the Democrat Party had been taken over by the left-wing. I don't try to convert my cousin either. She's hopeless but I do enjoy seeing her. I just have to leave the room when she starts her crap.

Dubya did not "earn" his money; he was given an interest in the Rangers to bring in tax money.

Ask him what he thinks about Peter Angelos, the "asbestos" and "tobacco" tort lawyer, owner of the Baltimore Orioles, user of a taxpayer funded ball park, and donater of over a half million dollars to the DNC in the past few years. Currently he is trying to hold the taxpayers of Maryland for a half billion dollars is "fees".
