Hoon Against Osama Execution
Britain will hand Osama bin Laden over for trial in the US - but only if he does not face the death penalty, Defence Secretary Geoff Hoon has indicated.
Mr Hoon said he believed the US was the correct place to try the prime suspect in the September 11 bombings, if he was captured by British troops.
But he said that extradition to the USA would require "certain undertakings" from the American authorities.
As a signatory to the European Convention on Human Rights, Britain does not extradite suspects to countries which use the death penalty.
Execution
It can only do so if assurances are given they will not face execution.
Asked what would happen to bin Laden if he fell into the hands of UK troops, Mr Hoon said: "I believe that it would be very important to respect the international legislation relevant to those circumstances.
"We do extradite people to countries with the death penalty, obviously subject to certain undertakings.
"I see no reason in principle why that shouldn't happen."

Well Hoon probably won't have to worry about it; I imagine we'll take care of business.

Prison could be OK for Osama. Down here in Arkansas, some of our prisoners have to work on the hog farm. I'm sure Osama could be assigned to that detail. An exercise in multiculturalism for him. Could help develop his character.

"Hoon" is Australian slang. A Google search turns up several meanings: an idiot, a hooligan, a pimp, someone who drives souped-up cars and my favourite: "a show-off of limited intelligence".
Here in Britain it means a stupid, pompous ass who has somehow become Minister of Defence.

No Problem. All this means is that the British won't capture him. They might be around when he is found, but the miraculously, the first American who shows up will do the "capturing."

Translation: If US troops capture him, do what you want with him. If British troops capture him, they will execute him on the spot. I would expect someone in Osama's position could very well have a double. If "Osama" is executed on the spot, how can we be sure it's really him? Does the government have DNA samples from the real Osama or from a number of his relatives?

OK. No trial then. Just Kill him.

All the more reason to make sure this isn't an issue. Bin Laden must be killed, not captured.

All the more reason to make sure this isn't an issue. Bin Laden must be killed, not captured.bin Laden himself said he won't be taken alive. So whether it's by Rangers, Delta, SAS, Afghans, or the CIA, everyone will be most happy to oblige.

"...Better still, of course, is to shoot him while escaping. A couple shots to the guts, then benign neglect as he slowly bleeds to death..." Done correctly, execution by gut-shooting does not result in death by hemorrhage.
Death comes, at the end of an protracted period of agony, of peritonitis.

Hmm... well I read somewhere that Mr Bin-liners kidneys were playing up... And I read some where else that kidney stones are one of the most painful condition to have (and long lasting). Now if he was captured he may have to be in such well guarded conditions that we won't be able to get a kidney dialyses machine to him... which would be rather unfortunate.. ;-)

Thanks for the warning, Jeff! Er, Geoff! We'll take it from here. You boys have a nice flight back to Jolly Old.

To The Honorable Geoff Hoon:
Tell me, Mr. Limey Poofter, why we should give a rat's @ss what you think?

Good "modification".
I agree, that the SAS would kill him on the spot, just as any U.S. troops would presumably be under orders to do also.

I say that we wheel a dialysis machine up to his bedside and point out to him that the only machine that could be obtained on short notice was a coin-fed model.
Then hook him up and leave him (alone) with a roll of quarters...
Canadian quarters.

On the contrary, it would be better if the Brits got him first. I can assure you they will execute him. Remember the Iranian hostage seige in London? The SAS captured all the terrorists and calmly shot them through the head at close range, according to eyewitnesses. You can bet the SAS have orders to do the same with Osama. The SAS will dispatch Mr. Bin Laden to Virginville in a New York minute!

Problem with these f**king brits is that if they capture him in Afghanistan, they have no jurisdiction over him. He would have to be turned over to the NA or whatever government is in place. Then we merely tell Afghanistan to hand him over or see no 1.5 billion of dollars that was promised.
The Brits problem if they capture him is getting him out of Afghanistan. This is Bull Shit.
