In the movie "The Sure Thing" John Cusack's character gets picked up by a truck driver while hitchhiking across country. He explains to the driver that he is traveling across the country to be with a "sure thing". He shows the driver her picture at which point the truck driver says, "I hope you fully appreciate the magnitude of your impending good fortune." That line always cracks me up.

"Imagine you're a deer. you're prancin' along, you get thirsty, you spot a little brook, you put your little deer lips down to the cool clear water...BAM, a fu##in' bullet rips off part of your head. Your brains are layin' on the ground in little bloody pieces. Now I axe ya: Would you give a f### what kind of pants the son of a bitch who shot you was wearing?"

"See this? This is my BOOM STICK!!! It's a 12-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods section. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. YOU GOT THAT!!!!!" - Ash, Army of Darkness.

I haven't read through the whole thread, so I apologize if I'm repeating quotes. We should pretty much include the whole script of what I think is the funniest movie of all time - Caddy Shack

"I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber. Didn't want to do it. But I felt I owed it to them."

-Judge Smells

"It's the best man, I bought it from a Negro."
- Spaulding

"Don't underestimate yourself judge. You're a tremendous slouch."

-Ty Web

"Hey Smells !!! 1000 bucks you miss that put."
- Rodney

"Gambling is illegal at Bushwood...and I never slice."
- Smells

I could go on. Anyone else with some Caddy Shack favorites?

Absolutely! In a light, funny, witty film, that line was a surprise! The only dead-serious moment in the film.
