JimRob can't be expected to police every thread. But the rank, appalling racism of some comments made during the discussion of the Adams Mark lawsuit really is quite beyond the pale. Your thoughts?

Racism has no meaing in this country. It is just another attack word of the left.
Racist, Sexist, Homophobe are the standard war cry of the left. When ever someone is losing an argument the final attack is always to call someone a Racist, Sexist or Homophobe.

I would agree.
Every time you kick and banned someone or pull a post, you are giving the left more power.
What the left wants is to stifle speech. THEY want to control the ideas. THEY want to control the words. THEY want to control the language and ideas.
Whenever you censor someone, you only make the left more powerful. Their success only makes them more hungry with more demands.
Censorship is their weapon of intimidation to silence their enemies and brand everyone "guilty".

The egocentric young black rap music typically comes off as angry, heavily sexual, anti-traditional, money-as-king commentary.
I'm not a fan myself. But when people say this, I just shake my head.
People used to say the same thing about jazz and the blues 50 years ago, and now you'll pay $75 to sit in a concert hall and listen to the same music.

Personal responsibility is great and all, and the white landowners who enslaved most of the ancestors of these people didn't seem to know a damn thing about it.It's all your fault, Belial--you and all the white Lib-Dem nanny-government massahs who conspire to keep blacks enfeebled and dependent.
Let their people go, Belial! Unchain these political slaves and let them join the rest of us as truly free men and women of dignity, purpose, and promise.

Skin color? Who cares! OK! OK! Sometimes it might make a little difference. Hey, compare Janet Reno to this. Janet ain't BooTiLiCioUs.

How nice for you to live in a country like that. Is it somewhere between Candyland and Fantasy Island?

Or do you just want to make freepers as a group seem bad?I sure your thought crossed more than a few minds.

One part of the problem is the culture of low income minorities, no doubt. Whites had a dominant role in creating that culture. Personal responsibility is great and all, and the white landowners who enslaved most of the ancestors of these people didn't seem to know a damn thing about it.
Slavery, that was abolished 166 years ago by force of arms with 600,000 mostly white deaths, cannot be blamed for the way people behave today, especially given the access to free public education, free childhood immunizations, laws preventing discrimination in hiring, etc.
The welfare state is more a cause of minority crime rates than slavery. Your argument might play well on the Democrap Undergroomed Web site, but not here at FR with educated, informed, realistic Americans.

I've seen comments that the liberal left would consider racist that I absolutely do not consider racist. On the other hand, I've definitely seen racist comments on this board, and it's really disgusting. I wish they'd keep their comments to themselves; I'd hate for FR to become synonomous with the KKK. :(

Hah. I know what you are trying to say here. That's a code word.Curse your bones, Laz. You've uncovered my dark racist heart!
Oops. I did it again. Dang.

Even black leaders (Jesse Jackson, for example) admit that they do not want to encounter young black men, especially at night. Go spend some time walking around at night in a town during a black fraternity week. Then come back and talk about "rascism". If you can. It's not about race, it's about taught behavior.

I've heard this theory bandied about quite a bit Kevin, and it's as insulting as they come.
The idea being that the 90% of blacks who vote Demo are slaves, and are to stupid to realize it.

Hey, who the hell ever said personal resposability amounted to a hill of beans. I'd just as soon have the government take care of everything. Please change my monicer to mindless moron.

Hi, Yesterday, I enjoyed reading the discussion of Is Love Colorblind. I thought it was very good but when I tried to click the next batch of posts, the Thread was gone. Can someone tell me why or point me to the Url of the original article please? Thank you

Probably because of "the rank, appalling" racist behavior of some people and organizations. These organizations have been promoting and profiting from their racist practices and behavior for too long. This is just another example. No surprise that racism is the topic.

Telling the truth about the way many young black people like to behave is hardly racist. Musicians who are wildly popular among this demographic celebrate this behavior incessantly. No one calls them "racist" or "self-hating". If young blacks don't want to be criticized for savage behavior, then they had better clean up their own act rather than whining about racism.40% of the violent crimes in this country are committed by 1% of the population - young black males. That's not a racist fantasy, that's a cold, hard fact. The truth is that at these places the nakedness and wild parties are the same as they are for any other Spring Break. I have seen plenty of pics just like the ones on the old thread with the only difference being skin color.
It is true that they are making up a disproportionate amount of inmates but do you realize you are judging the majority by the minority. Does that make sense?
Those musicians have various sides to them that are often not played on the radio or seen on tv but heard only in their records. Sadly enough that side is often not explored. My theory is because it doesn't sell. Not only to minorities but to the many White kids who buy this brand of music and have made it so mainstream. Rappers who do have positive messages seem to get less play and therefor cannot represent the positive along side the negative as is possible in so many other genres. Besides I think it is ridiculous to judge a group by their music. If that's the case then too many White kids need the same kind of policing because they are major buyers of this music.
