WANTED! Please post any information you have about 'rat FRAUD in Houston mayoral race
me

Posted on 12/02/2001 1:19:18 PM PST by GOPcapitalist

In the hours following the announcement of the results from last night's Houston mayoral runoff, I have heard constant reports of 'rat voter fraud in yesterday's election. Considering that Orlando Sanchez fell short of racist mayor Lee "Speaking Lessings" Brown by less than 5,000 votes, I have no doubt that this election was carried by fraud.

As I noted earlier, Lee Brown himself was not the winner last night - hatred was the true winner. Racial hatred, fraud, deception, and bigotry all won last night. Lee Brown was just the shell cover for them.

Needless to say, I am utterly disgusted at the ammount of fraud perpetrated by the Democrats yesterday. It is a continuing problem that plagues our elections, perhaps more than anything else. It is a problem that has gone on too long and is literally out of control. What the Republican Party needs to learn is that until we draw the line in the sand and put an end to voter fraud, we will continue to lose elections that rightfully should have been won.

I am calling on any and all freepers with information pertaining to ballot fraud in yesterday's Houston mayoral race to post it here and now. This information needs to be documented and publicized. I plan to inquire with the county about obtaining open records requests of sign in sheets from yesterday's elections to detect fraud and need to know specifically what precinct numbers to be on the lookout for. Any and all information is appreciated. Please post it here and post it publicly if at all possible, as it needs to be documented in a place for all to see. This problem must be stopped now.

Based on credible information I have already heard to date, there is not a shadow of a doubt in my mind what would have happened yesterday had Orlando Sanchez won. Lee Brown, Jew Don Boney (yes, Jew Don IS his real name! He's a local version of Al Sharpton in Houston), the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and their gang of racist thugs would have immediately filed an election challenge and recount request to try and overturn the election. They had this planned and in the works, ready to launch if needed. In fact, I honestly believe that they would have willingly incited racial riots had they become "necessary" to ensure Brown's return to office (no, Lee Brown was not "reelected"). That is how desparate these people are, and we should never forget it.

I was sort of wondering the same about you, but I don't get any mileage out of personalizing these things. Best to stick to the issues. It's the simplest possible request and you keep dancing around it.

You would serve yourself better to repeat that while facing a mirror, as you have directly personalized this by taking personal shots at other posters by name. Similarly, you have all but completely avoided the content of my posts in which I have patiently attempted to answer your purported concerns (though in later responses I have admittedly expressed my disapproval of your attitude as a result of my more than reasonably patient position toward you wearing thin). And of those responses you acknowledge, I have seen nothing but what appear to be intentional and selective distortions of the written record aimed at no other purpose than drawing attention to yourself by demonstrating just how much of an anal retentive snot you can be. Fortunately, most freepers are intelligent enough to see through your ilk which makes me wonder exactly what you see yourself to be gaining by coming here in the first place.

Oh well, at least you keep the rest of us entertained.

You've posted in this thread so much and said so little. Maybe you should follow the thread from a distance and quit playing Freeper Psychologist.

A difference of 1.4% separates the candidates. In many communities, that is enough to trigger an automatic recount.

Combine with that allegations of illegal voters and no one even needs to determine when the ballot boxes were stuffed (if that even happened). Just eliminate enough dead, non-Houston citizens, and similar from the voting list and the election could toggle the other way.

The fact that your wife or girlfriend doesn't get home from her office Christmas party until 4 A.M. isn't evidence of any wrongdoing either, but wouldn't you want to know where she had been and what she had been doing?

Five thousand votes? I doubt there was much fraud involved. That is getting to be a tired excuse for loosing elections. Look at the bright side. When Houston bankrupts, it will get blamed on a dem not at rep.

Who needs the rail now that Enron won't be able to hold up the stadium? Probably just stop all the downtown construction and leave it all in a mess.

The new electronic machines will bring pluses and a few minuses to the system. My main concern is a lack of paper trail, BUT I must say that of all the electronic options, the one they chose came closest to placating this concern of mine by far.

The machines are extremely secure and leave little possibility of problems from the lack of a paper trail, simply because each record is duplicated. Each of the individual machines records the vote internally, while also sending it into a second memory storage in a central unit. It also records the time, so votes cast after the election is supposed to be closed will be flagged. The machine must be literally opened up inside through tamper resistant seals to get to the memory card, so any fraud will be detected that way.

The touch screen thing is often thought of as a convenience, but trust me - the wheel is better ballot security wise. Touch screens on computers must be calibrated, and a single calibration error (intentional or not) could end up casting votes for the wrong person, whereas the wheel will always turn to whoever is being selected.

five thousand votes in a runoff election where more votes were cast than in the general. That itself is unheard of. And yes, five thousand votes could easily be fraudulent considering that they came almost entirely from an area where turnout was abnormally higher than anywhere else in the city, which is even more unusual considering that turnout was so high all around.

True, the calibration needs to be kept up but the voter has to approve their choices before hitting the "vote ballot now" confirmation.

I would still like to see an alphanumeric entry rather than the wheel. It is good to hear of some of the security measures involved to safeguard the electronic ballot box.

As GOPcap and I have already discussed, I was the judge in a rather small leftist precinct yesterday. There were rules being broken by the leftists time after time. Unfortunately, I couldn't control everything as I was busy helping idiots who had no idea where they were supposed to vote and trying to challenge the others who were told to do a Challenge Affidavit by the Brown brigade, headed up by ultra leftist State Rep. Debra Danburg.

These leftists don't let rules and regulations get in the way of their election day fun. Since I saw what I saw as a Republican in a Leftist precinct, I can't imagine what was going on in a Leftist precinct with no Republicans around and in precincts with much heavier turnout than we had in ours.

Gracey and I were talking in last nights thread about the problems in the voting system and how there have to be some major overhauls. I can't offer many solutions, but I can certainly describe what I'm seeing on the front lines and try to get some attention paid to it.

I thought the same thing, it seems a last minute late return from the black precincts put Brown over the top. Same trick pulled in Florida with the last minute Palm Beach county turn ins.

This is the "same trick" pulled in virtually every big city in the US.

If the margin of victory had been larger, would that have been evidence that the election was clean?

It would have been an indication that, as was most likely the case in the Hillary Clinton Senate race, the massive fraud was ultimately unnecessary.

Hope this helps.

Actually, you're equivocating between "evidence" and "proof". Evidence comes in degrees, proof doesn't. And to ask about reasons for believing X is to ask what evidence there is to believe X. That's why we can talk about dispositive reasons, prima facie reasons, compelling reasons, slight reasons, etc. You get those variations in degree because evidence comes in degrees.

Glad you cleared that one up for me.

Your images were turning into reality...they were casting votes for people who "forgot" to vote.

Some one or two elections ago, "darth" watched the polls in a Democrat precinct from 7 to 7... He said few came to vote, but at the end of the day, many hundreds had voted. Interesting. And interesting that 110% of voters seem to turn out in some Democrat precincts across the country for presidental elections... very interesting.

It took GUTS for you to be a precinct judge in a leftist precinct. You served us well, BushDude. I'll drink to you and GOPCapitalist. You guys are great. Thanks for caring. (tears have been shed for Sanchez and our flawed political process)

You mean Gracey and GOPcapitalist? Dunno. You'd think they'd be jumping at the chance to document the evidence in a public forum.

This is GOPcapitalist's statement in his opening post: I am calling on any and all freepers with information pertaining to ballot fraud in yesterday's Houston mayoral race to post it here and now.

Sounds to me like they're looking for an explanation on some hunches they have received, including my own problems in a polling place yesterday.

Glad you cleared that one up for me.

ConsistentLibertarian is just like those Democrats who took your time to sign the "Challenge Affidavit's." It's a digression tactic to gain attention and throw one off track, when in reality there's no concern for the subject.

I'd say this guy's a leftist troublemaker, here in disguise. He has not answered one question posed to him by me.

I posted this in last nights thread and think it amplifies what you were just saying about people who "forgot" to vote.

I was told last night when I was at the Sanchez campaign HQ, that a few years ago a Republican poll watcher followed the election judge to the tabulation center after the polls were closed. The election judge made several trips around 610 while the poll watcher stayed right behind him...when they counted the ballots, the election judge miraculously had 70 more ballots than he did when he left the polling place.
