We need the fed to give all the professional fed watchers something to talk about. Where would we be without CNBC analysts pondering the number of basis points in Alan the Great's next sage move?

The national debt has nothing to do with the Federal Reserve. I suggest you educate yourself on exactly what the Federal Reserve is and what it does.
If you have a problem with America's debt, I suggest keeping an eye on these guys.

Can someone please explain why we should not abolish the Federal Reserve or explain why lawyers won't discuss the bankruptcy of the corporate US in 1933 the keeps us perpetually indebted to the international bankers. How rich are those Rothschilds anyway? Is there such a thing as kazillion? What "bakruptcy of the corporate US in 1933? What does that mean? Did every corporation go bankrupt? Why do you want lawyers to discuss it more than anyone else? Who are the Rothcshilds and how do they affect your life? Are you even serious?

We do not abolish the Fed because it is in our best interest. We need good people to respond to the needs of our economy. They do not add to the deficit. I believe they even make enough money to operate. The Fed is the bank that banks use. Read a book.

"We do not abolish the Fed because it is in our best interest.".....and THAT is precisely the carrot that was dangled before Congress so that OUR money could be controlled by foreigners. We've been had. Now, via GATT, NAFTA and WTO, they've taken control of production or the means to produce the money and sent it to other lands. And they call me "tin foil hat"! I call them stupid.

The Federal Reserve is necessary because J. Pierpont Morgan is no longer available to stem Bank panics with the force of his personality.
What the Fed needs is less Keynesians and a few more Milton Friedman Chicago School economists. The Fed ALWAYS over corrects in periods of accelerating economic activity.
Conversely they ALWAYS over estimate the effects of rate cuts and government spending as a stimulus to the economy.
By the way they are doing it again, with the help of Daschle and the DemocRATS who are trying to derail the tax cut.

May I suggest a book? "The Creature from Jekyll Island, A Second Look at the Federal Reserve" by G. Edward Griffin. ISBN 0-912986-21-2. Very educating on this this particular subject.

How was the Federal Reserve started?
Where is the voting record of the Senators who voted for it?
It is very mysterious.
Also, the Fed is privately owned, it IS NOT a federal entity.

Why not start at the beginning if you are trying to learn? The questions that you need answered first are these;
What is the current role of the Federal reserve and what is the proper role of the Federal reserve?
Having ascertained that, the question then becomes, can this be done better, and by whom?
Always start at the beginning.

What is all this crazy talk about "abolishing the Ford"? Henry Ford is probably spinning in his grave! The Ford has always been a part of all of our lives. The Ford went to war with us. The Ford plowed our fields and pulled our combines. Many of us learned to work on cars by keeping our Fords running.
I know there's been some displeasure expressed about Ford being in bed with Nazi Germany, but that was many years ago. Ford employs and supports thousands and thousands of people world wide. Where are they supposed to go if we abolish the Ford?
What?? Huh? Oh, it's the FED?
Nevermind ...

can someone please explain why we should not abolish the federal reserve?easy. no working alternative has been proposed.
or explain why lawyers won't discuss the bankruptcy of the corporate us in 1933 that keeps us perpetually indebted to international bankers?
lawyers only work to keep guilty people out of jail. ask an economist to explain, and then be prepared for a large laugh.
how rich are those rothschilds anyways?
this is none of your business.
is there such a thing as a kazillion?
if you would stop whining and look the word up in the dictionary you might learn something.
