That's a bit overstating things! Israel has experienced many horrible, vicious attacks in the past but no nation to my knowledge has ever had experienced a terrorist attack the likes of 9/11. Consider: four thousand people killed in one instant. Only thing comparable would be a nuke attack.

They appear to be different buses, different sizes, different colors.

NO justification can be made for the ongoing slaughter of non-combatant civilians without regard to LACK of the presence of military or criminal forces, whether it is in the US or Israel.

As a side note, the condemnation of 911 terrorism by the US Islamic community does not (according to every statement I heard or read) extend to these atrocities that have been ongoing in Israel before and after Sept 11. Somehow this terrorism is somehow escused in their minds.

I expected we'd get Israel style terror attacks after 911. We didn't and I'm very happy about thar. I'm for the moment satisfied with our response to 911 as long as it doesn't stop with Afganistan.
