"Israel keeps experiencing terror like 911 OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER."

That's a bit overstating things! Israel has experienced many horrible, vicious attacks in the past but no nation to my knowledge has ever had experienced a terrorist attack the likes of 9/11. Consider: four thousand people killed in one instant. Only thing comparable would be a nuke attack.

Based on comparable populations, I say the Israel people know how we feel.

Take the ratio of the populations into account.

Oh, you are the same person who was incorrect about the buses in the 12/1/01 vs. 12/2/01 attacks.

....... That's interesting.

polpulation, by population comparison, it is a relevant comparison. VERY relevant! 12 dead there is an apropraite comaprison to aproximately 60-70 dead here....180 injured translates inot an equivelance of ~1200 in the U.S.

Except, sadly, in Israel it happens weekly.

Look at it this way. When 5000 American are killed there is a greater chance that you or someone you love was effected by it. Israel only has roughly 2% of our population. So in terms of grief and sorrow experienced, the recent attacks in Israel (20 in the disco, 19 in the pizza parlour, 8 today, 2 on thurday etc, not to mention the 100's or 1000's injured) create the "functional equivalent" to the sadness and anger we attach to the 9-11 attack on the society. To them, 170 injured in one attack is the equivalent of 8,500 injured Americans in terms of the impact it has on the society at large -- the chances that it reaches each person increases dramatically, and it is as you know a very profound and deep feeling to feel.

The population of Israel is MUCH LESS than the population of the United States. 28 People killed is th equivalent of 1000 people killed in the the US.
