We need the stewardship of 5,000 Free Republic members to insure the continuation of the Free Republic Life Form!
Jim Robinson said in yesterday's post: "My projections are that our regular monthly expenses for next year will be running in the neighborhood of $22,000 per month, or approximately $264,000 total for the year. This means we will need to raise approximately $66,000 per quarter."
If 5,000 Free Republic members who believe in paying their own way and that no free lunch ever exists, pledge $5/month. Jim's goals and needs will be quickly surpassed!
5,000 good stewards of Free Republic pledging $5/month will total $75,000 per quarter. That would allow Jim/John a little breathing room!
Many of us donate more per month than that. So please don't reduce your donation. We just need 5,000 regular pledgers to make things easier for Jim.
Are there 5,000 good Stewards out there who can afford $5/month to keep alive the Free Republic Life Form?
One way to afford this is to cancel your subscription to your left wing fish wrap or bird cage liner. Donate half of that monthly cost to your favorite charity and the rest to Free Republic. If you do this, you remove your money from the enemies of America and invest it with the friends of America, Free Republic! That would be a double winner for America!
Become one of the 5,000 Freepers who believe that there is no Free Republic lunch and that only parasites want something for free! Sign up for $5/month on a monthly auto payment plan!
Another way to put that might be...Do your part to help FreeRepublic save the environment. Cancel your subscription to your local tree killing, waste generating newspaper and get your news ecologically with tree free FreeRepublic. Be a Freeper, Save an Owl. Donate today.
Great! I have posted in the past that the entire newspaper industry is an environmental/energy destroying dinosaur! If you follow the harvest of trees, shipping it to pulp mills, shipping the newsprint to the papers printing site. The energy use to harvest the trees to paper and to get it to the printing site is tremendous.
However, the high energy consumption does not stop there. Vast amounts of energy are used to print the daily fish wrap and then to get the daily fish wraps to those who deliver the newspapers to our front doors or the news racks. By the time the newspaper lands at your frontdoor, the left wing propaganda/news is late from 12 to 48 hours after it happened.
After delivery to your home, you then read your out of date environmentally bad and energy destroying fishwrap. Then, you throw it into your recycle bin. Once a week you place your old and worthless fish wraps at the curb for recycling another left wing energy waster. The truck picking up the old and out of date energy wasting fish wraps use a lot of energy. The trucks take the old fish wraps to their recycling center.
Then, the recycled fish wraps continue to waste energy. They are then baled, stored and eventually loaded on trucks or railroad cars to go the news print recycle center. The newsprint recycle center uses a lot of energy to turn the old fish wraps into recycled news print or other paper types. Then, these recycled paper products go to be used again.
The energy consumed publishing a daily fishwrap is tree- (not misspelled) mendous. Many cities and states have to use our taxes to supplement the extra costs of recycling our old and worthless fish wraps.
gogov, as you point out, "If we get out news from Free Republic, we save trees, spotted owls and other critters. Then, we have huge energy savings avoiding the high energy recycling sham.
If the 60,000+ Freepers cancelled their subscriptions to their daily fish wrap and sent half of that money to Free Republic each month, our planet would be healthier and happier! Free Republic is an environmental friend and saves energy! The critters will thank you!
Thanks for the great wisdom shared with all of us!
Regular $5/month feedings can help the Free Republic Lifeform grow strong and healthy!!
