You sound like a financial genius, how would you feel if the $5M became $10M when the valuable property was resold in a few years? Would Jesus praise them for being prudent and wise stewards of His possessions?

Not from my reading of His words. He would praise them if they sold everything they had, gave it to the poor, and THEN followed Him.

I am not saying you HAVE TO sell everything you own to be in the ministry, but, I do not see as valid people who make their millions asking for donations from poor, vulnerable people.....telling them the money goes for the ministry. PUHLEASE!

Regarding your investment statement, I bet they are a not for profit organization---meaning no taxes----but it sure looks pretty profitable. Granted, as individuals they pay taxes, but a non-profit organization should not be paying exorbitant salaries in order to cover up real profit!!!

I repeat how would you feel if the $5M became $10M when the valuable property was resold in a few years? Would Jesus praise them for being prudent and wise stewards of His possessions?

That is a total misreading of Jesus encounter with Zacchaeus, the Tax Collector. Jesus in no way meant that to apply to all his followers, only to Zacchaeus, the crooked percentage-based Tax Collector, who was in need of special attention.

>I am not saying you HAVE TO sell everything you own to be in the ministry

Well that's good, because Jesus certainly never said it.

>I do not see as valid people who make their millions asking for donations from poor

I don't either, and have no truck for the likes of TBN, but I sure get tired of amateur piss-ant theologians attacking on the wrong grounds when there is so much theologically to question. Guess they think attacking money is safer and easier than confronting the REAL issues(but not really).
