Quite= quiet? Drove a Mercedes gullwing "many" years ago. You couldn't hear any noise outside, like it was soundproof - and soooooo smooth. It is the FINEST car I've driven, by far.

Its about 150-155 mph.And very quiet :-)Nice thing is is gets up there so fast and stays at that speed, quite unlike any other V-12 I've driven.Others are faster off a standing start, but after 150 yds, nothing else seems to accelerate with such ease...except for the BMW M5....that's a horse.

Drive over in France and Switzerland, and they let you air it out, and most are doing, even in the slow lanes, 130 km/hr.Much better than the QEW.

Yep, had one. only thing wrong was the lousy brakes.
