They may have actively supported the Free Choice movement. In this case they would have to internalize that they actively supported murder.

This person is not a fence sitter, though it could be that they are someone who is beginning to seriously wonder if they've helped kill real human beings. In that case they will probably be looking for evidence to help them make up their mind.

I think the same is true in most of the other cases you have brought up.

Your beliefs and investments in the concept of the obscenities for Life campaign will not allow you to think other wise.

If you were to accept the cognitive dissonance impacts from the campaign, you would have to discard some deep rooted beliefs about the campaign. It is aparent that my bringing these facts to your attention has forced you to strengthen your belief in the campaign and make you even more millitant. I can see it happening before my eyes.
