On the other hand, no one can convince me that a fertilized ovum is a person, or should be treated as a person in law.

I think the best, first step would be to get the feds out of abortion entirely. Roe was an egregious usurpation of state authority.

A fertilized ovum en utero has a potential of being born alive unless miscarried or aborted.

A fertilized ovum in a petrie dish is arguably to many another matter.

I think Bush said it well when he declared last week that we should not be in the business of destroying human life in order to improve the life of the living or something to that effect.
