I understand the risk, which is astronomically small, and, like most Freepers on an earlier thread concerning the smallpox risk, I still want to vaccinate myself and my family.
As that other thread pointed out, that not only makes sense for the people who freely choose vaccination for themselves, it would also cut down on the spread of the disease if part of the population were already immune. Epidemics are always most destructive and fast-spreading when the whole population is vulnerable, and less severe the more people are already immune.
