THE HAGUE - The local court in The Hague has sentenced a 40 year old woman from Dordrecht (initials F.H.) to a 7 year imprisonment for her involvement in the killing of her own daugther, Sudobee (16). The daugther was killed for having ruined the "Afghan family honor" because she lost her virginty.

The body of the girl was found, wrapped in blankets, on februari 16th besides a countryroad near Ouderkerk aan de IJssel, a town in South-Holland. She was strangled to death with a shawl. Police soon found out that were tensions in her family because the daugther, still living at home, had lost her virginity at young age. She wanted to leave her parents soon to move in with her (Moroccan) boyfriend.

The 41 year old father of the girl (initials A.H.) was convicted earlier to a ten years imprisonment, in accordance with the demands from the DA, for his share in the killing. THe court assumed that the mother did not participate with the strangling of her daugther. The court does hold her accountable that she did not invervene to prevent the death of Sudobe. Against the mother, the DA demanded 8 years in prison.

Thank-you. I see the error.
That would be DANSIH girls in DENMARK.
I'm sorry for the mistake.

No, that should be DANCING DANISH-speaking DUTCH GIRLS....
:)

We have Legal Tragedies here to, just look at O.J./ $hit happens sometimes & the guilty walk away, but this particularly jerked my chain as being a pitifully bad call by the Holland Legal system.

Repulsive.. but not surprising. I love the Dutch people (used to live just 15 km from the border in Germany, near Winterswijk), but the gov't leaves a LOT to be desired. 'dag.

thanks for the post. as is usually the case, i have a different view than many of the first several posts in this thread. this is a u-s bashing article.

the article says 'daughter killed for not being a virgin anymore'. the daughter was killed back in february of this year, so this is old news.

it is resurrected now because these people are afghanis and of course the united states have been trying to help afghanis in afghanistan. the implication is that the united states is helping a people that murder their own family members for bringing shame on the family name.

i feel bad for what happened in this family. i also feel bad for another press shot at the united states (first one seen from the netherlands in some time.)

**Actually, it did happen here. An Egyptian killed his teenage daughter in St. Louis a few years back. It was big headlines at the time. The wife went along, too. **

I remember that...sick, isn't it?

May I ask why you are asking?

Because I want to know how trustworthy that surprisingly (to me) precise statistic is.

Well, the actual killing happened in february. The father was already convicted for it. But the news is, that the mother was convicted on november 11 for NOT stopping the father killing her daugther. This is big news over here in the Netherlands, for this law is very new. In the past, people wouldn't have been convicted for these sort of things. The mothers share in the killing has been a long investigation, therefor the court has been able to reach this verdict until now.

This post is a translation, the original title has been translated literaly too.

I also find the link between this article and US bashing far fetched. This incident stands on itself. I am posting this kind of stuff to tell people what a total failure "multiculture" and "integration" is. If you live in a country because you want to be free from the dangers of living in muslim countries, they should not take their unwanted habits and ways of handeling things over here.

And I would NEVER bash the US, just read my profile and you will see why (the graphics are down until I get another server for posting them).

thanks for the explanation. given the context which i did not pick up on initially, this is a very interesting article.

you probably know that in the us the person who commited the crime is guilty, but the person who sees it and does not stop it cannot be charged with the same crime.

i did not mean to imply that you were bashing the united states -- my appologies.

where in the netherlands do you live. i have been to amsterdam and hilversum. my colleagues took me to the obibio restaurant. i was expecting to get a steak, and it was a vegetarian restaurant! nonetheless i had an excellent meal and would return.

Hey, no offence taken. Maybe I should have been clearer about the dates. But in Holland this sort of justice is new. A few years ago, our laws started to change when a lot of people were beaten up and no one seeing it helped them. It's a strange situation over here. People a very afraid of criminals, for we got a totaly incompetent police force and are not allowed effective selfdefense. When you beat up burglars are try to defend yourself, you can and wil be taken to court for use of violence. Many Dutch people feel the strange need to protect the criminal elements from being hurt in any way.

This sounds unbelievable, it's sad but true. Here some examples:

About a year ago police conducted an illigal weapon search in the "Bijlmer" (Amsterdam South-East, about the most criminal district we have). At the end of the day the showed the illigal weapons: there were many and BIG guns, even the NRA would be proud to see such a collection. But than our "liberal" lefties decided that it was discrimination to do a an illigal weapon search in the Bijlmer. They are right someway: in the Bijlmer there are almost no white people. Either they get mugged or raped all day and move away, or they are killed just for walking on the street. Amsterdam has recently been "promoted" to violence capital of Europe (taken the lead over from London), there are 4 to 5 times as many murders than in Rome (seen per 100.000 citizens). The bottom line is that the police are not allowed to take the illigal arms from criminals anymore.

Also our police is allowed only to shoot back in a firefight when the baddies almost have put their gun to the police their forheards. If the police decide to shoot back, an inquiry is made and mostly the police bite the dust for "excessive use of violence"!

I hope Americans will read these warnings and make sure that the lefties don't make the entire US helpless victims of criminals.

BTW, I live in Helden, a town in the south. It is located near Venlo (Limburg). Nice story about the restaurant.
