The Rev. Franklin Graham said in Minneapolis this week that he is concerned with the way Islamic law is enforced in several countries, and not with the people or the faith itself.
He spoke at a news conference in Minneapolis, where he had come to talk with Billy Graham Evangelistic Association employees about the headquarters' move to North Carolina. He also answered questions about his recent comments that have angered Muslims.

BINGO!
True. A deeper study of the koran, the hadith, history of Islam, the life of Muhammed, and current events around the globe will dispel the negative impression and replace it with a certainty that Islam is intolerant, violent, and evil.
The Rev. Franklin Graham said in Minneapolis this week that he is concerned with the way Islamic law is enforced in several countries, and not with the people or the faith itself.Read the article and see if you can find where Graham said he wasn't concerned with the Islamic faith.
Here's the direct quotes from Graham regarding Islam that I found in the article:
Can you?
So . . . how could Graham be concerned with countries that employ "Islamic law," yet not be concerned with the faith that the law is based on,?
In other words, what were the facts that lead the author of this piece to tell us that Graham was "not concerned . . . with the faith itself?"
After a couple months of Islamic propaganda, I've got all the info I need. I side with Franklin Graham.
. You need to add "dog hating, baby mutilating" to your rant for completion's sake.
Count me as one of those who hated Islam and dreaded its spread long before 09/11. I've read the Koran (3 times, 2 Wadood, 1 YAA ) and I own and have read quite a few books on Islamic/Arabic/Ottoman/etc history (Kinross, Lapidus, Hourani, Peters, Khaldun, Said, and so forth). To say I was unimpressed with either the religion or the cultures it forms would be the understatement of the millennium. Was it the 8th century Muslim philosopher who described women as a form of life halfway between beast and human which approached humanity closest in two situations : When pregnant with a male infant, or on her back with a portion of the male anatomy in her body? Was it the photo of a Yemeni woman with an iron fetter through her wrist, not around, THROUGH the living bone of her lower arm? Was it the 9 year old girl who was married off to a middleaged man, was confused and tried to run away to be with her mother-and when her "husband" recaptured her, he chopped off both legs at the knee : An act the village imam called "compatable with Islamic law". That obscenity took place in India in 1995. Or maybe it was the Pakistani woman who lost her nose, her eyes, and her lips to her insane husband, who got a few years in prison for his act-and that he got any punishment at all is a miracle. That story can be read in the Sept 2001 issue of Glamour or Cosmopolitan magazine ...can't remember which as I read it in a library. Whatever. I despise this 'religion', and while I do not consider myself anywhere near an expert on Islam, the Middle east, the Ottoman empire, etc, I do feel I know enough to be entitled to my dislike , and to believe it is not founded on total ignorance.
The thing that most annoys me : The idea that because Europeans are white and Arabs & Turks somewhat darker, the entire history of Islam is about its abuse at the hands of Western civilization. That would come as a huge surprise to the peoples of what is now eastern Europe as far west as Austria , up to about 1700.
ISLAM: THE ENDLESS JIHAD
EVIL IN THE NAME OF ALLAH
There is an on-going argument among the intelligentsia that what we are witnessing is a fight between "radical" Islam and "true" Islam. But if you look back to it's very foundation, Islam means peace by submission and obedience ... those that will not submit are to be destroyed.
2.24: "..be on your guard against the fire of which men and stones are the fuel; it is prepared for the infidels."

4.140: "...surely Allah will gather together the hypcrites and infidels all in hell."
4.144: "...do not take the infidels for friends..."
8.12-13: "...therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them. This is because they acted adversely to Allah and His Apostle; and whoever acts adversely to Allah and His Apostle -- then surely Allah is severe in requiting (evil).
8.14: "...for the infidels is the chastisement of fire."
9.29: "Fight those who do not believe in Allah ... until they pay the tax in acknowledgement of superiority and they are in a state of subjugation."

17.8: "...We have made hell a prison for the infidels."
18.100: "...We will bring forth hell, exposed to view, on that day before the infidels."
25.52: "So do not follow the infidels, and strive against them mightily."
30.45: "...surely He does not love the infidels."
33.64: "Surely Allah has cursed the infidels and has prepared for them a burning fire..."
42.26: "..the infidels, they shall have a severe punishment."
47.10: "..Allah brought down destruction upon them, and the infidels shall have the like of it."
47.34: "..[those who] die while they are infidels, Allah will by no means forgive them."

67.20: "...The infidels are only in deception."
67.28: "...who will protect the infidels from a painful punishment?"
71.26: "...leave not upon the land any dweller from among the infidels."
80.42: "These are they who are infidels, the wicked."
Of course, this could just be the kind of blinkered literalism that Khatemi is complaining about. Not being a Muslim scholar, just one of the Jews that the Koran describes as "cursed by Allah" (Sura 4.46), who am I to say? I'm only excerpting what I've read in the Koran, with emphasis added in light of September 11.
