Dating a professor----What Perfume?
Myself

Please, if you don't want to answer or don't like the post: don't read it. I don't know where else to ask this without feeling foolish (though I do anyway). I am going to go out for the first time in a long while. I divorced 6 years ago. Went out a few times and decided it was a waste of time. Now, I met someone with whom I have a lot in common. Went with my daughter to get some perfume whatever you call it these days... WOW, selection was tremendous. Overload for me. So, you men out there: I like Lavender but do not want to remind him of his mother, for heavens sake and the pumpkin pie thing is too ridiculous.(the smell most men like...) So, help me out here.. what are your favorites?

Gem or the original Montana if you can still find them. Or try Jovan "Musk"

I have taught at several universities and my favorite is Pleasures by Este Lauder or Tiger by Cartier. Oh and ah BTW I'm not a Pinko commie leftist so my tastes may be different than other professors

As my mother used to say, soap and water is quite good for a starter :)
Jokes aside, just put on your favorite hand/body lotion after your shower. It's scented but not overpowering.
Have a good time!

Zest and powder.

Major point!! Perfume smells different on different women. That being said, my wife's favorite is Design by Paul Sebastian.

Oh my, the mere mention of Opium reminds me of a woman who worked one office over from mine. She must have used half a bottle per day. Suffice to say, she never snuck up on anyone. Moderation in all things!
I say wear a fragrance you like, after asking a trusted friend whether it smells good on you. I've known a lot of women who poured on their favorite fragrance thinking they were just "the bomb," without realizing it was gag-inducing to everyone else.

I like the smell of Break-Free but my wife wears Pheromone by Marilyn Miglin, which also smells nice.

just put on your favorite hand/body lotion after your shower. It's scented but not overpowering. By the way, Bath & Body Works just came out with a brand new aromatherapy line about a week ago - shower gels and body lotion. I bought some Orange/Ginger (sounds funky -but smells pretty good) and it is a nice clean, energizing scent. They have quite a range to choose from. Just a thought, if you want to be subtle.

You can't avoid his mother's perfume, unless you have some inside info, so go with the basics: flower scents are good for this, natural and not usually overpowering.

My ex used to wear "Beautiful" all the time. I remember it because it was such a contrast to what was on the inside...

I'm trying to remember a scent I used to wear (can't find it in my room now, tho) - kind of a grassy scent, green colored bottle that is elliptical in shape, with frosted glass. Hmph. Will check back when I remember, or maybe someone else knows.
I did like Anais Anais by Cacherel - light floral, very nice.

My husband likes Obsession and Escape, by Calvin Klein. Hmmm....there's a whole psychological term paper in there somewhere. Now, if only I wasn't working on a sociology paper instead..... :)
